저도 얼마전에 매드캡 구했어요. 전 어슈트로 개조하는게 목적이어서 슈퍼 어슛용 카본샤시를 구매했는데 잘 맞으려나 모르겠습니다. 매드캡 안 예쁘다 생각했었는데 형님 영상 보니 또 예쁩니다.

Very nice build 👍 Front wheels and tires are extremely rare nowadays, at least in Europe. Talking about heavy stuff on the Madcap: The ball differential is nothing like what you find on newer models.

@HumbleVintageRC 😆👍🏻 That IS a lot of Hoppers None of mine are built. I have one original new in box 1980s car. Plus black edition and candy lime green edition. I think I need to buy a standard rerelease for building and driving😎👍🏻

Not sure why Tamiya never re-released this when they have done the Buggy Champ and Sand Scorcher (licensing issues with Ford maybe?). Like you I am a perfectionist so restoring vintage RC cars is tricky as I am never satisfied. Currently still working on my original Holiday Buggy. I am reasonably happy with the body but am worried about the decals, especially the light blue sections on the front wheel arches. They are quite large and the surface is curved and not so easy to access, so the chance of fitting them without creases is very low. Not sure whether to risk it or just leave them off.

Thank you for the comment! I am not a perfectionist, rather trying to make it work and fit into my circumstances^^ like you said, it would be impossible for me to do any restore work if I was perfectionist. Thank you again and good luck on your original HB project!

This is very cool! I'm going to print it right now. BTW, could we use the differential gear for WR-02 instead of printing bevel gears? If possible, would this alleviate some of the concerns about gear strength and accuracy?

Hi, sorry for the late reply! I don't think WR-02 bevel gear will work for my gearbox since I reuse all the spur gears from the stock kit. As explained in the video, I recomment printing the bevel gear in metal, it works fine. And if you are going to use 380 motor, the plastic bevel gears are enough durable I think^^ let me know how it goes!

Great looking Grasshopper. Looks to perform much better than the original, yet it has the same charm and "hopper" characteristics that made it the original so much fun. Be proud of your creation! It's awesome.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, those wheels are 3D printed ones, the original ones you can search by 'stardish wheels' but I don't think they have grey color
