@@miguelsuarez8010 there is no profit if operating costs are higher, that's a loss, as I said B.A were making a profit until the French pulled the plug, forcing them to do the same because they could not go it alone with the operating costs.

I don't care what they come up with regarding a supersonic aircraft. There will only be one Concorde and nothing, in my life time, will ever reach its majesticness. There are some in the making but none will reach the level Concorde did IMO.

While we're grateful that preservation has saved a good number of steam engines it's sad that the days of steam came to an end so soon. With the BR standards had they been allowed to reach the minimum of 30 years they could have lasted into the 1980's, the rebuilt Bulleid pacifics could've lasted much longer. As some of the rebuilt examples lasted just 6 years before getting thrown away by 1967. Would love to one day travel out of London Waterloo behind a steam engine one day, preferably with a Bulleid Pacific.

Marvelous video. As an American aviation enthusiast I had the privilege of seeing the Concorde many times at JFK New York. I remember thinking that it looks like it’s doing Mach 2 just sitting there. I also told people who asked that the Concorde taking off was the closest sound to a rocket. Thank you, Britain and France for providing some of the most spectacular plane spotting I ever saw. 👍❤️

@@peterjones6733 I had a similar experience. I was at Jones Beach on the south shore of Long Island, about 29 miles due east of JFK Airport.
