I was lucky enough to see Elliott Smith. I didn’t talk through his fucking set like some sort of self-obsessed twat.

ONE OF ELLIOTTS BEST SETLISTS... dang man... sorely missed bro, i would turn up every gig if he was still alive, its hard if not impossible to find song writers these days who have the same level of natural talent and understanding of how to write pretty much any song ever... id say its like down to a small bunch of musos who truely can do it all on there own.. elliott smith was one of those song writers who you just couldnt write his songs better if you tried.

The fact that the pianist is playing Elliott's parts is nuts. Straight up. The entire band is totally on point. The bass, drums, and of course my man Mr. Smith on the guitar and vox. Eternal Legend.

This is my favorite elliott smith line up. This sounds better than when he had quasi as his band even though Sam Coomes is in this line up too.

What he does starting at 23:02 until 23:07 blows me away. I'm totally ignorant about musical terms and guitar playing, but whatever he did with those strings looked incredibly difficult.

Definitely, doing a bend that fast and making sure it’s a clear tone is like torture on the fingers- especially when you don’t use a pick, like Elliott
