I think you hit the nail other head with your statement about going slow is the whole point of a Rolls Royce. I you go slow so everyone gets a good look at who's inside. I had the chance to drive a 1978 silver spur. For about four weeks. Other than the fuel costs given it got about fourteen mpg on premium fuel. The "but" was the fact it was a RR. Like you described, I was the interior of the car was a rolling humidor. The smell of the leather, the polish on the wood. The the carpets. The only caviot was I couldn't wear my street shoes on the carpet. So I went shoeless. Constantly rubbing my feet back and forth on the lambs wool carpet. I and picking of women.... Yeah I had one or two in the back seat. Especially after I put the carpet on the seat. One girl really got off on the lambs wool on her bare ass, but but I've said too much already...

The 1992 - 1996 C4 Corvette is one of the best looking cars/ Vettes ever made. How the Hell anyone can think the C3’s better looking is beyond me. The LT1 is an awesome motor to boot and the vehicle handles/ brakes great! Awesome car thanks for reviewing it.

My Ex's scoop on her Celica was for additional engine cooling and downdraft to prevent front end lift at high speed. Only thing is she had the auto trans so she would never really be able to go fast enough to experience front end lift. But it looked cool.

Some of the best body guys are mexicans. Also, the bread and butter of any auto body shop is insurance work. Thats what pays the bills. This big shit takes time and ive never seen a body shop stay on schedule. Ever. I will agree with you on one thing, rolling your car outside like that they should have took better care of your car.

I am an absolute Pontiac lover and have owned a 1970 GTO, 1977 and 1981 Firebird Formula and Trans Am. Classic Pontiacs are my absolute love with the GTO my favorite. Had to give all those up through the years. I now own a 1986 Trans Am with the 305 TPI and WS-6 suspension. I am working on it but it is a fun car to drive. Will be the one I die with.

Back in the early 90s I had a mint condition loaded 85 Z28 and I can say that was an awesome car it felt solid, nice interior, T tops, handled fine the only option it didn't have was the TPI so the down side it had 170hp LG4 carbureted 305 it was not fast, they have decent TQ so it accelerated acceptable but not fast plus it had the 4 speed auto. I sold it kinda regret it, as a matter of fact when I bought my house I'm pretty sure it's now up the road at a farm sunk into the ground rusted out sad it was so nice back then. I wish I had it in mint shape now I would either plop a built 350 or pref a 5.3 swap and some 18" wheels and 265s. I now have a 95 mustang gt convertible wheels exhaust pretty sweet ride. One of my favorites was a 76 nova SS all day 2 style, jacked up in back, 350 with cam and Holley 650, TH350 trans staggered aluminum slots 14x8 with 235/60s in back 14x5 with 205/70s in front, side exhaust, 331 Z28 12 bolt posi, black with ss stripes painted on and never had no rear bumper which actually looked better especially if had a custom roll pan. I actually got it and $1500 for my 85 Z28. I had a blast in that nova it was a burn out special.

Grew up on the coast of southern California, and we call it the marine layer, or June Gloom. Sorry you had a bad car experience. As a restorer, and hot rod builder that owned Hunting Beach Hotrods I feel your dismay at paying anyone else to work on your car. Sometime you are back in Cali you should come up to Big Bear and see my car collection.

Cars are simply big breathing machines. Just like humans, the more air we can take in while “moving” the better we perform. Having said that, I don’t think he added “massive” power with the reverse scoop. Pontiacs with true “Ram air” scoops, facing forward, usually gain about 5 horsepower when at the correct speed. The other end of the equation is to expel the air quickly. Adding headers would gain him even more horsepower - 15 - 25 by most tests.
