I watched someone that said when she had real small blocks, she would start sewing a couple of stitches in stitch a couple, then backstitch to the end of fabric and start forward again. The fabric usually will not bunch/get eaten I have not tried it but intend too. Enjoying your tutorials.

Just found your channel and love the 2 cats in the basket quilt block. However, I was unable to find the pdf pattern file. Does it have a new link? Thanks.

your one wins by a mile. I am so glad because I cannot justify buying a wool mat, Thank you. I was thinking of making one with a tie string so as not to have to take out the staples when I want to wash it as my hands are getting useless and weak, I

I love this excellent tutorial very detailed instructions. I’m getting ready to do my first appliqué quilt. Thank you so much. How do you appliqué around the tiny pieces like the beak and cheek. I’m so afraid I’ll mess that part up because I have some tiny pieces to go around.

I have had the talles one, the A+ Cutter (it’s over 15 years old and the name on it is “The Cutting Gizmo” made by Gypsy Quilter). Not all single edge blades fit this. I tried several brands of blades before I found one that fit (off Amazon).

Great work! My favorite part is, "if someone is looking at your threads that close and make a negative comment, they ain't your friend." Funny. Love your work.

With the little stiches does it come apart easily?
@leaannebrummett91594 ай бұрын
No. As long as you follow the instructions on fusible it will be fine. I've used a smaller stitch and its fine. However If you are making a quilt that will be used heavily and daily, needing to be washed every week, I would not use raw edge applique. For those quilts I used turned edge applique. I have video for how I do the turned edge applique on a patriotic pillow. All my quilts get was at least twice a year in a washing machine. Some of them are over 10 yrs old and are still holding up fine. Thanks for watching.

I've taken the cover off my regular ironing board and put foil on it to keep it from rusting and help with reflecting heat back up

Hello, first time at your channel. Very nice tutorial. I have a query if I may have your help. Can you please explain what's the difference between the appliqué fusible paper and the Bondaweb? I've been told that they are different, but having watched several videos, they both function in the same way and I'm a bit confused. Thank you for your time and help.
@leaannebrummett91595 ай бұрын
They look to be the same, just made in different countries. I never used it so I can't speak for it's quality. But from what I can tell it's the same as Heat N Bond Lite here in the USA.

If you sew thru cardboard you might want to consider using 14g or 16g jean needles .... That was what we used when we sewed in a commercial shop on leather and other thick things.
@annas.r.p.58356 ай бұрын
Can you use duct tape instead of fabric around the board? I have multiple rolls of cute duct tape left over from duct tape wallets the kids made ... I want to use the tape up.
