Mary lusted for arthur didn’t love him, she wasn’t worth it in everyone eyes but arthur’s. Mary was more like a first love, Sadie and Arthur could have turn true lovers. Both are widows after all. And their relationship seems more natural and true. Mary was the ex you shouldn’t contact again but wanted to. Sadie is the one you looked over but who you needed this whole time.
