Jakarta, Indonesia - Jakarta is a bustling city full of friendly faces, shopping malls, and delicious deep fried street food. We decided to venture out to west Jakarta in a more local neighborhood and we were so surprised what we were greeted with. The kindness never ceases to amaze us and we had the best day seeing what everyday life looks like for the locals while also getting treated with some free BBQ goat! Next we headed towards a mall nearby for some much needed A/C! There was a local band playing and a beautiful rooftop sunset to end our awesome day in this wild city!

Banyak orang barat (bule) yang terheran heran bagaimana rumah mewah orang kaya bisa berdampingan dengan kelas menengah ke bawah... Bahkan di pedesaan anda mudah menemukan kesenjangan tersebut... Sebenarnya banyak juga wilayah wilayah eksklusif orang kaya di Indonesia, anda bisa menemukan di banyak type perumahan... Contoh perumahan mewah Kota Wisata, Summarecon, Pakuwon dan banyak lagi tersebar di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia...

I live abroad and i realise even clearer that people from my country are sincerely friendly, generous and the smile is like the happiest even if they have almost nothing (financially).. Since you guys visited Jakarta during ramadhan (fasting month), you saw a lot more people selling drinks and snacks on the streets than usual especially towards dusk which is when people can break their fast....Anyway.. great interaction with the locals guys......😊

i really love you guys energy, hitting the road with no plan whatsoever and let the path take you around the city of jakarta, indonesian people well known for so many things and one of it are their kindness, wherever you go no matter how you looks, when you made an eye contact with them they always says hello or atleast smiling at you.. but still please dont make that reason to lowing your awareness, bcs there is no places with a zero crime, even in the most safest country in this world, there are always some people lingering around waiting for the opportunity to do something bad to others.. be alert and stay healthy ❤

That decoration and live music in mall is for ramadhan decoration theme, when in chinese new year they have red lampions and angpao stuff and when it christmas they had christmas tree and santa claus almost every mall you visited, indonesia is so colourfull 🙂

"Kerupuk" (cracker) in Indonesia have many variety (from a big to small cracker) and also the taste (like shrimp, fish, or just a flour with flavour)

Whole in Indonesia, you guys should try Es Cendol (or simply just Cendol), it's basically boba but healthier since it's made from rice flour then served in a mix of coconut milk, pandan leaves, palm sugar, water, and sometimes red beans, taste really light and refreshing. There's also an Indonesian pancake-like food called "Terang Bulan" or "Martabak manis", it taste really good and really filling.
