This area in Jogja is super busy filled with tons of food and shopping. We explored while getting lost in the winding streets finding ourselves in an interesting situation.. come along and see what this vibrant city is like!

Wow.. i live in jogja... When i heard that bentor ( becak motor) with 150.000... so expensive for tourist. Jogja government must evaluate this kind of transport... Where jogja famous is cheap for living... Hope you 2 enjoy all the experiences in indonesia..especially jogja..the heart of java..

The painting shop at the small alley you guys were invited, I think it is a kind of tourist scam trap. Seen lots of those in other foreign vloggers visiting Malioboro.

@@reelsgo4t Ya betul, kadang gua juga merasa kasihan pada wisatawan yang "terpaksa" datang ke toko tertentu karena diajak dengan alasan ada pameran...sementara mereka sebetulnya ingin menikmati suasana Yogyakarta dengan lebih santai... Sebetulnya wisatawan (vlogger) akan lebih baik kalau bisa punya kenalan sesama KZfaqr atau warga yang jujur dari Yogyakarta untuk menemani berkeliling sambil vlogging...

Apart from bakpia, try eating klating, tiwul and diamonds, satay klathak is also very delicious, and minimal klotok coffee at night 😊❤

07:53 Those vehicles are called "becak" (the authentic pedal-powered ones). The Motor-powered has different names in each region in Indonesia, but it is usually called "Cak-tor" 13:21 Great! That's a nice gesture; we don't wear our shoes or sandals inside our house. Although we usually make an exception for our guests, but if I were to visit - as a guest - at other people's houses I would insist on taking them off 21:44 Eating, giving, or receiving something, using our left hand, is considered a rude gesture for us. Sure, we can understand and give pardon because you're a foreigner, but every Indonesian will certainly appreciate you more if you don't do it 23:30 Yep, I agree; I prefer bakpia more than pie susu... 24:30 I guess that's because you're on the most touristy street in Yogyakarta. Outside of that area, you can ride it with a more, waaaaay more cheaper than 100K or 150K; I once rode it (the pedal ones) for almost half an hour around the city, and the sweet old driver just asked for me to pay him 5K! Imagine that! In the end, I gave him plenty more, because of his kindness and also because I'm feeling a bit guilty... 32:33 I think he asked you the question, it's not a statement; "Usually, do people in Canada use French or English in the office or formal places?"

Indonesian pedicab named "Becak"... Pie Susu means "Milk Pie", originally from Bali... The local delicacy snack in Yogyakarta is Bakpia (you bought the chocolate flavour one)... Bakpia is an adaptation from Chinese delicacy snack named Bah-piáⁿ 肉餅 (in Hokkienese language) by Chinese Indonesian... "Bah" means meat, usually using pork and lard, but they changed it with mung bean for the filling (Because majority Indonesian people are Moslems)... Actually, Chinese Mung Bean Filling Round Shaped Pastry named Le̍k-tāu-piáⁿ 綠豆餅... Le̍k-tāu means mung bean... In Indonesia many people still called it bakpia... "Piáⁿ" is some kind of pastry or delicacy snack... Now Yogyakarta's Bakpia makers add chocolate, cheese, durian flavour etc... As time goes by, many Javanese people in Yogyakarta make and sell bakpia too now... 😃

There is a hotel around 1km from the malioboro market entrance. I stayed there once turn to the right and walk straight for 1km or get a taxi. I suggest you stay there it's 5 stars. The name is "Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta" I suggest you go there

Definitely had an idea of where that little, "let me show you my shop" incident would go....classic. And even after you bought him a drink!😂 Everyone else seemed super nice and friendly though. We really want to explore more of Indonesia when we return to Asia. Such a beautiful country. I hope you guys have some more food related content coming up. Would love to see what Yogyakarta has to offer!

It wasn't the guy with the drinks. Look at the shirt. It seemed like another guy came and told them to shut off the camera. The drink guy was in a white shirt. The second guy was in a blue. The guy that told them to shut off the video was in a black shirt.

Jogja is a friendly city for tourists. There are many interesting tourist objects, especially Malioboro Street which is full of historical memories and Palace (Kraton). Don't forget to eat Gudeg, special food from Jogja. Enjoy your trip👍👍

Just always becarefull when at tourist area specially when talking with local who can speak english very well, at Malioboro always some people talking about Art Exibition or Batik Exibition or something like that to foreigner but its a tourist trap to buy something with high prices

Yogyakarta is popular tourism city in Indonesia after Bali ( especially for domestic tourist) and also called city of education because there are many reputable University in there. The students are come from all around Indonesia. Thats why its very busy city. Actually there are many things to do and see in Yogyakarta besides the famous Malioboro, Sultan Palace, Borobudur and Prambanan Temple. But you must rent a car with driver to explore Yogyakarta in full day tour.

Wow excellent you guy enjoy Indonesia. Highly recommend Bakpia 25 very soft then others. Pineapple Flavour, Green Bean, Chocolate this are very nice. Try the horse ride around palace then back to maliaboro. Street satay and bakso very nice. Street foot massage very good and very cheap. 30min 50thous.

Take the Bechak or rickshaw to bakpiah 25 store. You could choose many flavour.

Don't forget to taste Yogyakarta's gudeg, and you can visit the famous destination, namely Prambanan temple. Then via Yogyakarta to be precise in Magelang, you can visit Borobudur temple.

I've watched a lot of tourist video, You guys definetely the best personality so far, very understanding, easy going despite some of the tourist trap and scam that hapened to you, may you have the best experience for the rest of your stay in our beautifull country.that said, you guys are worth subscribing.
