Thanks BluePhoenix, ballistic plates are coming soon! Have you seen my latest project video on stab resistant composite with silly putty? That one turned out real well.

@@Techthisoutmeow Yes I have. I like medival history, and mail is really good at stopping stabs. However it's very heavy compared to modern materials. Some people do wear mail edc, however not really worth it. Interesting to see your homemade experiments. Also, you should try using ceramic in conjunction with your plastic/fiberglass plates and possibly stop rifle rounds. Just remember if you are going to do that, use the hardest possible ceramic. If you are going to buy tiles, I would recommend at least a half inch tile. Make sure it's ceramic, not something else like marble. I'll link a channel, great content, but now dead. People on youtube have experimented with very small floor tiles,so a bullet only hits one small piece instead of shattering one massive plate.

@@Techthisoutmeow kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a6-YZMejstGzmo0.html Its a three video series, should give you plenty of information. Its a pity he didn't continue on his project. On one armor slab, he uses marble tiles. Don't do this. The harder the better. You want to shatter the bullet before it hits the hdpe/fiberglass. Marble is a pretty soft type of stone.

@@Techthisoutmeow Damn. I didn't realize you talked about rifles and ceramics. I didn't watch the whole vid at first... Sorry for that. Congrats with the soon to come baby.

I'm adding some ceramics to the new plates I'm working , and I will be using porcelain ceramics based off you suggestion! I made sure they weren't stone.
