The part about education is the same in Greece! Thank you for the video, learning a language is useless without learning about the culture too. Greetings from Athens!

Hey guys, I want to clarify that at 2:47 what I meant to say was people BORN 50-60 years ago who immigrated 20-30 years ago. I wasn't very clear, sorry! 嗨咯朋友们,我想解释一下我在2:47说的话。我的意思是说50-60年前出生,20-30年前移民的人。没说清楚,很抱歉!

For those wondering, fried alligator tastes a lot like fried octopus. Many people compare it to chicken, which is also close, I just think octopus is a closer proxy if you've had that before, definitely has a more chicken-like texture though. The reason they taste more similar is that Aligator and Octopus have very mild flavors and mostly taste like the accompaniment, but fishy. Chicken meanwhile has a pretty recognizable and strong taste.

There's a pecking order in a symphonic orchestra: 1. String instruments 2. Woodwind instruments (clarinets perform the melody in a concert band) 3. Brass instruments 4. Percussion instruments

1. The stereotype also exists because it is easier to immigrate to America if you are in a STEM field, making "Asians are good at math" to be kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Also, there are theories that because it is easier to learn numbers in Chinese compared to English (eleven vs 十一/ten one) that it gives Chinese children a slight headstart when it comes to simple arithmetic.

Yep, and recent study shows that language actually changes/affects brain structure or function. Meaning, Chinese speakers may actually be better in maths.

The videos can't tell lies. You never know what people do somewhere nowhere. And when something striking to the common people happens, it heats up rapidly because that's ...news. When it propagates to other countries, it is magnified and becomes the stereotype of the whole nationality.

What the stereotype is that Chinese are unhygienic, it's the opposite in Australia, everyone thinks all Asians are very clean, the dirty stereotype, I've not seen any of that

0:10 _Prevalent_ is pronounced as PREV-uh-lent, accent on the first syllable. It should not be confused with _prevail_ where the accent on the second syllable, pree-VAY-ull.

He's American, this dude isn't a Wu Mao, I say it as someone who hates the CCP. His reasons are very reasonable and are very much true, I don't want to be an SJW, but it does seem pretty racist to call someone a Wu Mao because they are Chinese and have a KZfaq channel all about Chinese language learning apps and Chinese culture.
