Krylon makes a line of acrylic sealers that I have had good luck with. They go on thin. I get them at Hobby Lobby

This is very interesting. I started a new hobby about 7 months ago, building 1/32 scale jets out of solid wood. This has been a challenge and quit the learning experience to say the least. Lots of hand shaping and sanding. I do not have a lot of experience with decals but have found there is a lot of differences in quality and how to use them. I was using Walthers Solveset but it was melting the decals before I could get them into place on the model. Very frustrating to say the least. I just bought some Microsol and Microset and will give those a try. Wish me luck. If you have any suggestion's I am all ears, or in this case eyes. Am working on a F-4 right now and have just finished paint and started experimenting with the decals I found on Ebay. Full set of Milspec decals are great looking, now just have to get them on the model in one piece. Very helpful videos.

Did you lay down a gloss coat prior to decals? Didn’t see it in the videos. Which do you use?
