I'm so excited to show you the Longchamp Le Pliage (size S) Bag I got in Paris. I've missed out on the cognac colour (from the original collection) online so I was very pleased when I saw it in store! I love the top handle look but I prefer shoulder bags. That's why I had to add rings/eyelets so I can also attach a strap. I love the final look. What do you think? Thanks for watching this video! Just got the shoulder bag in cognac in Japan. So happy to get that color. Long time Longchamp fan, but never thought of the organizer. Great idea with the grommets! I have 1 top handle purse that I would use a lot more if it had a strap.

Hi Elise, I think the only difference is that the Green line is made out of recycled material. Also those have a green border on the leather tabs, silver hardware and a horse embroidery. The original is just plain with gold hardware. Hope this helps x

So far so good.. no tarnishing yet. It is a great option to add a crossbody strap. I love mix and matching with straps.. Have you check out the Le Pliage Energy line?

I really appreciate your creativity. My concern is when the bag is stuffed, would these 2 little holes are strong enough to hold the bag?

Hi Sandy, great question. Well I think in this case smaller holes are better than bigger holes. Let's say we place larger rings - that means there is also less leather around those rings. Imagine if there is an unusual heavy weight in the bag or extremely hard pull (for some reason) - then the rings have less leather to hold on to and would tear easier (I think). I think the most important things are using the rings (and not only punch a hole and attach strap like this). I think the rings also protect the leather as there is not direct pulling on one spot of the leather by the strap. Also I think the quality of the bag is important. Can the leather tab and the nylon take the weight? In this case - absolutely. These Longchamp bags are so sturdy and quality is great. I carry all my daily essentials + notebook, ipad etc (everything that fits) and I feel it could handle so much more if it would fit. So long story short - It holds up well and I think it always will. But it is a great point and I will surely do a 'wear and tear' review about this after some time. I will also do a 'whats in my bag' one of these days - so you can see what fits/the weight and how that looks. Thanks for watching 🤍

Thanks so much for showing how we can make our bag even more versatile! I have the exact same bag, and the colour just screams autumn to me - so beautiful! Are you an excellent seamstress? If you are, you might want to re-sew the pocket to the bag. Longchamp sewed the pocket on from the inside. The bobbin tension was not correct, and that’s why the unattractive stitching shows on the front of your bag. If you want, you could buy matching polyester thread, pin the pocket down with many pins at right angles to the lines of stitching from the OUTSIDE of the bag, rip out the existing stitches, and sew the pocket on from the OUTSIDE of the bag (stitching in the same stitch holes as before and removing each pin as the needle gets close to it). Don’t sew over the pins. Exchanging the bag before you added the grommets would have been ideal, but you may be the only one who notices the wonky stitching. Love the thin leather strap with this bag. Looks best as a shoulder strap, but crossbody is good, too. That strap allows the bag itself to be the star of the show. The organizer is also perfect for the bag. I paid way too much for a Samorga one. Thanks again! 😊

Aww thanks so much for taking your time pointing out what went wrong and how I can solve it.. but unfortunately I don't know how to sew (shame on me lol). Your comment made me realise I should really start learning this as I generally love restoring handbags but always avoid restitching etc lol. Do you sew a lot? And is it a hobby or professionally? Yes you are right. I could have exchanged it but it didn't bother me that much.. Next time I will just make sure to check it out properly when in store. They actually did show it to me but I guess I wasn't really paying attention lol

Glad you’re fine with the pocket. I started sewing when 4 or 5 years old, first by hand and then with a treadle machine (love those!). Sewed all my own clothes until uni when I also bought some in the stores. Designed and sewed for some boutiques in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Haven’t done much sewing in the last half-century, but you never forget, really. I just love your channel. Happy holidays!

Lol yes I also had another every day bag before with black interior. I was always looking for things. Maybe an organizer is also a great option for you?
