@@leongeds1397 she could have though. The only thing that would have stood in her way for a bit is her parents petitioning for custody. But she wanted to party and live on her parents’ dime without taking care of the child or leaving her in the care of people who loved Caylee. But she was an adult, she could have put the Caylee up for adoption if she had wanted to, if she cared enough to. Nobody actually forced her to keep the baby, she did what she wanted to anyways and her parents “forbidding” her from doing whatever was futile.

I honestly feel so bad for George. He's lost his granddaughter, his wife refuses to accept the fact that Casey should be held responsible, his daughter accuses him of molesting her, Casey's team blames him for her death etc. and he is still not allowed to show emotion during this trial. Not to mention the fact that he was previously suicidal and his daughter is basically set free.

Yet, she stays in the family home longer than most people. Naming her daughter Caylee. Cay because of Casey, lee because of her brother, Lee. You know, I find it weird that the parents weren't more involved in Casey's life. How do you not know your daughter was failing until almost the end of her school year? Even if she's not telling you much about school, as a parent, it's your duty to be aware of what your child is involved with. Find it also weird about the parents not telling the brother about Casey's pregnancy. Maybe it's me, could it be that maybe Casey and the brother had a "close" relationship? Obviously, being a mother was too much of a hassle for her and she failed to keep her daughter safe, she should still be jailed for the utter neglect of her child.

We could've gone to hoco at the same time, prom at the same time. We could've paid senior dues, cap and gown fees, prom attire bills at the same time. We're only less than five months apart. I agree. It’s kinda sad some parents do this, not knowing what’s going on deep inside their kids brain. Some people just shouldn’t have kids, and I think Casey realized she didn’t even want to be a mom. But felt a lot of pressure from her family. Giving that kid up for adoption would have been the best thing in the world. Might not have saved Casey, but would have saved the child.

And that’s probably why Casey’s mother went off the rails and just thought of excuses for her. She probably had a lot of guilt making her have that child when she knew Casey didn’t want it to begin with. I’m not condoning anyone in that family’s behavior but I think that mom carried a lot more guilt then they were all willing to admit.

Caitlin Montgomery I agree. For real. No excuses for Casey, but she knew she wasn’t cut out for motherhood. Her parents should’ve seen that in her behavior, but it seems like they were big time enablers of her. It takes a big scenario for enablers to realize their “help” is only hurting. It’s beyond unfortunate Kaylee was the victim of Casey’s inability to grow up.
