I won’t feel bad about supporting steinhart for making the styles I like affordable,

I don't own a Rolex but do own Omega & Breitling, so I have some experience of "luxury brands." I've always loved the look of submariners but wouldn't drop the bucks they demand these days. I researched homage brands & Steinhart was the best quality I found at reasonable cost. I purchased an Ocean 39 premium about 6 months ago & I've been so happy with it. I often pull it to wear on a daily basis over others bc I enjoy using it. I respect their philosophy to sell high quality products at reasonable prices. If they have new models that gab me in the future I will absolutely buy them. I don't have any local friends who are watch enthusiast to judge me for not wearing "the real item," but really if they're so bothered about what somebody else chooses & wears- they have a problem. (Most of us grew out of that after high school!)

I have owned a Steinhart Ocean One for several years. I had a problem with the watch and contacted Steinhart. They immediately sent me information on how to return it for repair. All shipping charges paid for by Steinhart. The customer service was impeccable. I don't have a collection of watches, but if I do decide to ever buy another one, it will be a Steinhart.

I ve had around six Steinhart watches in the past and have always been impressed by their quality and price point. I've just pulled the trigger on a Steinhart Coke GMT and am looking forward to getting back into the brand again. Great vid.👍

Thanks so much, and really appreciate you making this video! This honestly helped so much me with my recent pickup of this watch (literally ordered from gnomon watches yesterday!). This watch is such an amazing tool watch, I think it's really underrated and unfortunately is overshadowed by the reputation of the brand. The watch has so many unique features to it that, I wouldn't even call it an homage at this point, but more of an "inspired" piece. And although for me personally, I wouldn't say it is the most perfect watch (uni-directional gmt bezel, polished sides (I generally would've preferred it brushed to really bring home the utilitarian/to0l aspect) it literally has so much functionality, coupled with the build quality and even wearability of the 39mm, really just makes this a no brainer. To be honest, I would consider myself a watch enthusiast, and although I normally would never go for their Rolex "copies", I honestly do really respect Steinhart as a brand since they really are out here making "grail" watches more attainable to the masses. On top of that, I feel like it is very very hard to find in depth and high quality reviews from actual watch enthusiasts. TGV, mentioned steinhart in his videos a couple years ago, but other than that there really isnt as much content on this watch. So again, I think it really means a lot, to make your comparison videos, follow-ups, and this 1 year of ownership. You guys are really helping Steinhart get a better reputation! Keep up the great work guys!

Thank you so much for your great reviews! I bought my first watch at the age of 15. It was a Citizen Promaster Pepsi, which was slightly looking like the Rolex GMT Master 2 in Pepsi. And as I grew older, I enjoyed watches and learning about them and their brands even more. My dream would be to own a GMT 2 in Pepsi one day. So, some months ago, I decided to save some money and buy the Steinhart Ocean GMT in Pepsi with the ceramic bezel and the jubilee bracelet at the age of 19 for 690 Euros. It has arrived a few days ago, and I'm as happy as I could be! The quality is outstanding, and I love that the watch looks very similar to the Rolex, while managing to not fully copying it. I'm really looking forward to spend more time with the watch and enjoy it even more!

This is a nice watch no matter what and as I already said, Steinhart does watches inspired by the sub theme, but imo are not homages. Given that I own several Rolex divers can see major differences. I don't own a Steinhart but I got my eye on the vintage mil especially since it comes in 39mm. The ocean one 500 in titanium may also be available in 39mm, Gnomon had some models made smaller.

I have that in the larger titanium case and I love it! It's handsome, robust, very well made and dead accurate. Wearing it on a silicone curved end strap that matches the blue perfectly.

Have the same one in Titanium (discontinued sadly). Maybe try their rubber strap. Fits great, wears wonderfully and very well priced!

Currently waiting for the green Kermit watch with the green rubber Steinhardt band. I love the combination and that will lineup perfectly with the two others I have. I have the Ocean 2 white, and the Bluesy homage to the blue dial, and blue bezel Rolex.

I have two Steinhart's , Adventure 39 and a Ocean One 39 Ceramic. I recently had an issue with the Ocean 39. Steinhart paid for the UPS return, while waiting for the watch to arrive it went out of warranty. They still honoured the warranty and repaired it and returned it via UPS. Their correspondences with me were prompt and fast. I will be looking to purchase a Premium Ocean 39 904. Thanks for your video.

Just got this yesterday from a private seller on chrono24. Why they stopped making this and went back to just copying rolex I'll never understand. For me this is just far enough away from the rolex design. It's taken cues, obviously, but the differences are enough to make me not feel like a fraud wearing it. Also, I actually prefer this style numeral on the bezel to the rolex, I think Mercedes hand sets look awful, I've always preferred date at 6, and I hate the cyclops. And this cost me about £15,000 less than a rolex! What a touch. I also have the steinhart carbon with the funky blue striped case, which ironically for steinhart, is one of the most original designs I've ever seen. I'm tempted to get the red and black versions, as it's a fantastically well made watch. Very solid. Love them both.

I really like the brand and I like the watches mostly because a 42mm watch fits me better than the dainty 40mm Rolex. I don't want to buy a watch that the uninitiated would think of as fake so I don't buy the stainless watch with black dial but I do have the GMT with pepsi dial and I have the Ocean black with all black case and dial that I wear on a ZULU strap. I previously owned one with blue dial and bezel and I wish I had that one back. I would like to have the Batman GMT because I really like the high legibility of the hand design. Previously I also owned a Steinhart Flieger that I really liked.

I had one last year, I only kept it a few weeks. It's well built, looks good, but for me, the face is too small. It's 39mm diameter, but a chunk of that is taken up with the bezel. It just looks too small for me. If they did a 41/42mm in steel, I'd buy one tomorrow. The finish on the titanium version is ugly in my opinion, which is why I went for the steel version. Overall though, a nice watch.

I really like my blue Steinhart. It's without GMT hand and I wish all models were available without it. I will never have use for it and it adds a unnecessary function which makes the watch more complicated.

Looks amazing. There's nothing special about a rolex case design, quality, movements, and dial. Youre paying for name and the bezel. That's it. Im fine for paying for brand name. I do it all the time with cheaper household items. However for a watch? I believe only those who really can afford it easily should get it. Ive seen the majority of people who enter the rolex shop next to the boutique i used to work at. Lot of weird, disheveled, socially awkward people walk in and talk to the associates and peruse around (some come several times a week) ... i asked the security guard there he says these guys come in all the time and dont do anything but just talk rolex this or rolex that and never look to buy anything. Strange brand to attract people like this. Im done w a seamaster and a few seikos beaters. Im accomplished enough in my life i dont have to wear my accomplishments on my wrist. I believe a nice diver (yeah. ...they are all a homage to the rolex brand thus their prestige) that is 700 bux or so is amazing and suffices and is a thinking man's watch.

I have had a steinhart ocean premium for 3 years and about two months after I got it it suddenly would not set or wind. I sent it to the factory and it came back working but was losing over 20 seconds a day. I sent it in again and when it came back it was a bit more accurate but to this day it loses over 10 seconds a DAY. I have an invicta pro diver that stays within 3 to 4 seconds after a WEEK. I paid over $500 for the steinhart and I will never buy another steinhart again.

This is a great watch brand. Also the I know the founder and ceo of the brand he is a cool guy. The brand is from Augsburg Germany. Just a great brand overall

I hew Ocean one Titanium 500 and from 2017 i haw it and i use it for work and ok its in rotation but for work and its with not nato but same as but strech -nato is perfect also its super acurate and its Titanium so its so light and i like it. And its +2-2monthly its stupid good. Only dont like that plane homages . But newer in 5 ares someon ask mee is that Rolex cos it realy different. And i like it also i hawe watches from 300€ to 10,000€ but i like that wotch . And it luck like newe after 5 ares .

I had a Steinhardt watch couple years ago and was not happy with the finish on the watch at all I had a Tissot watch that’s just about the same price as the Steinhardt maybe cheaper and they decide to finish was 100 times better than a Steinhart watch

I don't think it is fair to call this model, the Ocean One GMT Titan premium Ceramic, a Rolex homage. It's hands, dial and date placement have nothing to do with it's Rolex counterpart.

That Hommage blah reminds me on Apple Fan boys. On any watch i weared is at least one idiot calling it a "inspired by Rolex" All it needs is a diver with a bezel.

I personally don't like homage watches, because that's just another term for "copying". But that being said, Steinhart is one of those companies that are actually showing how much Rolex & Co are ripping people off. With Steinhart you get a sapphire glass, extremely well finished case, you also get things like ETA movement and the bracelet made out of the solid end links with a milled out clasp. Bezel is also on a top notch fit n finish with a (wait for it) ceramic insert. And all that for what? 700 euros? Just think about it! Another Rolex fraud attempt (called Tudor) delivers much the same for the 5x the money cost. "Oh but it's a Rolex sub-brand"... SURE! Still ripping people off that "Rolex" branding name. It just shows how people are gullible. I personally respect Rolex for finding a great way to treat their costumers as trash while also ripping them off by selling overpriced products, either by duping them into buying multiple watches (that nobody is interested about) before Rolex "offers" them an overpriced over-hyped watch that they will treat as "investment" (LOL) OR by forcing them to buy the watch they desire from retailers that are going to sell it for 5x the OD value, because, you could never enter into the waiting list anyway. People believing that Rolex isn't involved into this retailer business are also very naive. It's a well oiled, tested and proven pyramidal scam that made a "registered charity organization known as Rolex" (and this is fact as well) into well oiled multi-billion dollar duping machine. For that fact alone I would personally never own such a watch. Just goes against my principles (even Steinhart because an homage watch is still advertisement for Rolex original product). So in a way, I am glad that Steinhart is around. Because when you take Steinhart and Rolex and you hold them side by side, see them, feel them, Rolex is such a disappointment. You just have to ask yourself, where did all that extra money went. Because, it didn't went into quality, that's for sure! Because of that I will continue to stick with GS watches.

You call it a GMT Dive watch. It's not. It's a GMT. If it was a GMT Diver, it would have the inner and outer bezels reversed. And the outer bezel would be unidirectional. I've only seen one manufacturer that makes a true GMT Dive watch, and that is Citizen. Not sure if they hold a patent on it, or what, but would expect to see a lot more manufacturers making a watch with the two features combined. Perhaps someone can talk to Steinhart and get them to modify this watch to become one, it would look nice, and have a ton of functionality.

I own a few Rolex watches. But also a few Steinhart,s. If I'm honest with my own. I think a steinhart 10X has a better price-quality ratio than a rolex. you have to compare a Steel watch of 500>1000 with a 10,000>25,000. Then Steinhart wins against me. Even a sten heart is just as precise on time. just as beautiful, like a rolex, Rolex 6+ Steinhart +4. Never again a rolex for me. when I see that steinhart can build a super watch for 500>1000. I wonder why a steel Sub cost 15,000>25,000 euros. So Fuck Rolex."So"" a rolex real or fake. people first ask is He Real"" So a real rolex or fake you always have the fake experience

I have the ocean one 39 for over a year now and i gladly would pay more if Steinhart put a easy adjustment for the clasp on....Herr Steinhart soviel mehr kann das nicht kosten und jeder würde einverstanden sein,oder extra anbieten😉 Otherwise the watch feels and is premium,its not a hommage for me it looks like my rolex submariner 1680 with the thin Horns and the Design is free to use nowadays.. Before my Rolex 1680 goes maybe to service the third time then since1979🤣i get me the steinhart adventure... I'm almost done with watches..maybe😂 Never buy a Rolex in present time because the prizes are not worth it and the behave to the customers it's...y know what i mean😉

So you picked the STEINHART model that it is not a Rolex Homage. REASONS: in titanium, with the date window at 6 o'clock, No Mercedes hands, NO MAGNIFIER, 500m WR, in 42mm and with the markers with no steel contours, no jubilee bracelet... and the tittle says "Best 700€ Rolex Homage". YEAH...

Before i buy one Rolex, i buy 15 Steinharts.
