Thank you! Do you mean the Seamaster Polaris or the dress watch? If its the latter I wouldn’t call it a pre Seamaster, maybe rather a pre Genève. The reference number in the caseback is 131.010. As far as I know the three first digits have a meaning, whereas the following three are for Omega internally. In this case it stands for „A Gent’s watch - on leather“, „manual wind - center seconds“ and „non water resistant“. Hope this helps 😉

good watch ,but not charm by the look : oversize bezel ,mini inner dial with close blocks of index & hands to make it look cluster .Citizen diver has something like this but not seems to be a popular model.

I don't think it is fair to call this model, the Ocean One GMT Titan premium Ceramic, a Rolex homage. It's hands, dial and date placement have nothing to do with it's Rolex counterpart.

I prefer my sapphire for the simple reason that it's REALLY HARD to scratch the crystal, and it's REALLY EASY to scratch the plexiglas. Plus, the presentation back allows me to marvel at the 3861 calibre; a true mechanical marvel.

For me the caseback would be a plus. I do like the look of the plexi (it is definitely different and has a stronger vintage vibe). And it is easier to polish the scratches out whereas the sapphire will shatter if it is pushed too hard. But of course sapphire is the more durable material

Do you know if speed master reduced bracelets would fit the speed master 38 model? Aside from the clasp, are the lug holes the same?

I would guess no, since these watches are almost a decade apart. Also websites like Uncle Straps, which sell bracelets for the reduced don’t mention that it fits on the 38 (i think they would if it did)

I too have visited this shop and spoke at length to "David". I had a SS vintage Submariner for sale with proof of ownership. Of the three dealers in the Arcade and others in London, David seemed to me to be the least sincere and honest. I too would never visit this shop again or do and business with "David". My advice, avoid at all costs.

Can be difficult to service but generally Omega charges based on the fact that it’s a chronograph. So might be no different to other chronographs from Omega.

30 seconds a day is definitely not acceptable for any watch. I have NH35 movements, none loose more, or gain more than 10 sec. I'm out!

Bro how do you calculate minutes since the 2nd time which I want to calculate is 10 hours 30 minutes before my local time. Which means I can glance at my watch to tell you the hour but for minutes I have to calculate.

Do you mean how can you know the minutes in the second time zone? Because in a different timezone you have the same minutes just different hours (except for some exceptions)

I have had a steinhart ocean premium for 3 years and about two months after I got it it suddenly would not set or wind. I sent it to the factory and it came back working but was losing over 20 seconds a day. I sent it in again and when it came back it was a bit more accurate but to this day it loses over 10 seconds a DAY. I have an invicta pro diver that stays within 3 to 4 seconds after a WEEK. I paid over $500 for the steinhart and I will never buy another steinhart again.

This exact model (which is one of the more unique design from them) does not exist with the Pepsi colors. The ones with Pepsi colors are the more 1:1 homages. Quality is great as with the watch in the video, just looks a bit too much like a Rolex 😉

I always walk down The Arcade looking at amazing highly priced watches and the new bespoke stores. Unfortunately wearing expensive watches in London is dangerous as gangs target you for them. Three robbers just sentenced to 10 years each for robbing and physically blinding a guy for his Rolex, irony was it turned out to be a fake watch!

Had my black dial bb36 since 2019 and still love it, a real sleeper of a watch! To make it truly perfect I’ve add uncle straps half link and steel reefs adjustable on the fly link 🤌

Good to hear! Which dial color do you have? I love the blue it varies so much depending on the light. I was also looking to buy the half link before getting the watch but fortunately the watch fits me perfectly as it is.

Great review. I own the Pelagos 39. Absolutely awesome watch. Slightly more luxurious and easier to wear than the 42 Pelagos. Omega design simply isn't for me. I love these reviews but the setting could be a little nicer, warmer, fuzzier 🙂

I also love the proportions of the 39 but the dial lost some depth and details. I prefer the Tudor design as well.
