2K doesn’t care about their games just like their NBA series, they’re just focused on getting the same game put out every year. With barely any differences, we need a company that knows wrestling and cares about it.

Absolutely baffles me that they just can't seem to keep Special Referee in as a permanent patch type. It was in the game during the PS1 days, then removed, put back in, and removed again. Why is it so hard to keep this match type in permanently?

They should return entrances with weapons or items, and fans having weapons.

These newer games focus too much on realism instead of just keeping it fun like damn it's a video game

Fact check: 2K14 is only considered a 2K game because THQ split from Yukes right before the game came out and 2K bought Yukes. 2K14 was a 100% Yukes/THQ build with the 2K stamp on it. The first true 2K game was 2K15. That's why it was so bare bones compared to all the previous Yukes/THQ entries.

I miss the ability to import your own theme music. It made creating a wrestler awesome. The only thing that was missing at the time was importing titantron walls. These games have regressed a lot.

Create a Finisher & The ability to add custom music in Create an Entrance were the BEST ones removed. If Sony and Microsoft would get on the same page on this one.. I would love to see WWE allow custom move sets and in-game entrance music of those who didn't make the cut on the roster as well as former superstars.

I miss the ability to upload custom entrance music. That was one of my favorite features in 2k14. It helped make your created wrestlers more unique because you could give them whatever theme song you wanted instead of having to borrow another wrestler's theme song. I hope we will be allowed to do that again eventually.

Those were fond memories. Especially having a falls count anywhere and jumping off the smackdown fist either landing it or whiffing it.

2 features should be added 1 being the ability to fight anywhere like here comes the pain 2 fight on the steps in the crowd

Dude in ref mode I used to create a heel ref or one like earl who had some type of character to him. He might screw you over, he might fight back, he just might get laid out Lmaoo

Special Referee mode was only removed on the next gen consoles. It appeared until the last gen’s WWE 2K17.

The minigames for pinning and submissions that were introduced in some 2k gane were sooooo much better than just the "mash buttons" method. In all the old games, you could see when a match was gunna end because the wrestler would be totally immobile flat on the mat,and if someone pinned you when you were in that state, it was impossible to kick out. The analogue minigames mean that you always have a chance to kick out or break the hold. That is definitely the best thing 2k did

I never knew about being able to climb the smackdown fist or the KOR chair until a few years ago and I've been doing it ever since I've had friends over that didn't know about it and when I climbed the fist they were confused but yet stunned that such a thing was possible

Another option I miss is while on the Road to Wrestlemania storyline for Smackdown vs Raw 2011 is to just walk around wherever and go into whatever room or area you wanted to and just Beat up whoever Wrestler you saw as a Threat to you onto the top and jump into a Backstage Match and just Brawl whoever you just picked on or saw as a Threat meaning Competition and just have Random matches whenever you wanted and in WWE 2k18, 2K19, and especially WWE 2K20 that option is gone, that is what I want back, especially the Bar room Brawl Match that was in Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 on PS2, hopefully those two options are back in the Wrestling games

I hated how back in the days, they started to restrict divas from playing certain matches, it was so shit because I loved playing as the divas and it got worse because at some point you could only have 4 divas in the ring 😑 and you couldn’t even do any matches other than normal pinfall matches

The best feature that was removed from WWE video games is the ability to use our own theme songs. :( I miss the days when I can remove Rey Rey's WWE theme and use either an intro cut version of his WCW theme.

GM mode :( haven't brought a wwe game since 2k15. Will buy it if GM mode comes back.

I really miss the create a finisher mode, it was more fun that each of my original character have their own named finishers with custom moves instead of just choosing other superstar move.

GM mode was removed cause they didn't want fans to question the WWE and how they treat their wrestlers. During 2008 there was a lot going on in the WWE and many stars were unhappy about how things were being managed.

I seen them put in graphics in one and remove it. Some wrestling moves make an appearance and then removed.

I don't know when it was removed, but character specific movement and stances in the ring were a nice touch to Just Bring It and Shut Your Mouth. Maybe not every single person, but having more variety

WWE doesn't want replay ability in their games. They want you to always buy and play the newest games that come out, and keep moving forward. That's why they release one every year no matter how rushed and bad that are.

You forgot the badass portion of here comes the pain where you could go to Madison square garden and climb up 2 stories and nose dive into traffic.

One thing that I've always wanted is a different selection menu for all the WrestleMania arenas..with the latest one added every year...

The two best features ever were road to wrestlemania mode and slobberknocker mode.. would be nice if they didnt make the showcase mode so frustrating..

Also, in-game unlockable content, instead of DLC or having every wrestler at the ready. I get why DLC is an option ($$$), but it was more fun to unlock different wrestlers and venues during Story Mode or different game modes, like a Survival Mode

I remember one of the games and hardcore street fights when you were fighting in the streets of New York you could climb up on two different levels and jump off of it and climb on cars on the street

How about a Shut Your Mouth/Here Comes The Pain style of season mode where you play every week on Raw and on PPVs with many storylines and options that can branch and get you different endings depending on whether you win or lose a match?

Would love to see the Career mode from SVR 2010. The Brian Kendrick was just a spec in the HBK storyline, but I sure as hell was happy he wasn't cut , with London and Spanky being my favourite tag team all time (then Motor City Machine Gun, now The Hybrid 2 from AEW/AAA,) so I took Spanky through the career mode and built his stats and won some titles, like he should have had a world heavyweight title for longer than a minute in a gd scramble match. Would love if they brought back Career with some random cut scenes ala Universe Mode, which I don't play anymore, because it's more the same every year and more of a chore than fun like it was in the past.

They also removed the part where you can climb over the barricade and fight in there area where you can smash your opponent into the stereo and climb up it and jump and put him through a table.....also grabbing fans signs

I'd like it for universe mode if they had more than the 3 generic crowd reactions for all wrestlers. Give us massive pops for big faces and violent sounding booing IE pre head of the Table roman or Shawn Michaels in Montreal for big heels.

I always loved the create a finisher lol. Maybe that gets a lot of hate because it was introduced in a time when the series slowly began to decline (svr09) but i loved making finishers back in the day

I remember happy playing SVR 06,07,08 for GM Mode then I'm excited for SVR 2009 but I'm disappointed 😞 NO GM MODE, the reason I love gm mode because you will think all the popularity rosters, storyline every PPV, promotion and Cash to save the contract of superstars, well budget cut very rare 😂

Last game I bought was wwe 12. Now they try to make the games so realistic that it even takes away the fun. Even in the royal rumble match sometimes it takes years for the character to just walk into the ring. If the games were designed like HCTP or Svr 2006 they would still be fun to play.

As much as I want to see it come back, I don't see how they bring GM Mode back. It was more realistic in earlier titles and would of actually worked until around 2k19. In the earlier titles we had Teddy long for smackdown likewise with Bischoff for RAW. But in current state of wwe, we don't have any per say general managers.

6:41 I imagine table physics have changed with having to build up a red bar before putting your opponent through a table in Table Match now... I can kind understand, because I did hate how before you could win Table Matches off one move, very little effort to win those matches... I figure, that's why tables aren't easy to break anymore, as it would make Table Matches last a little longer having to fill up that red meter, before you can put your opponent through the table, right????

I would include old game engines as a Bible option so people could choose if they wanted to use the here comes the pain game matching, no mercy game engine or the traditional WWE 2K game engine. Having the option to create a title and design a locker room also would be great and having the option to create a pay-per-view would be amazing especially if you could do cut scenes like the original game

Create your own finisher was easily the best feature in any of the games! The crazy shit you could do was just so much fun and till this day it’s hard to pick your finisher because you can’t create it.

You already have Universe Mode which is better than GM Mode ever was Climbing The stage would also be unrealistic given the focus on realism. It was also impractical in those games as well and you wouldn't use it if you were trying to win. Submissions: I'd argue the current submission system works the best. I'd argue the best submission system is the one that encourages interplay between parties and is balanced and only the recent 2k games have done that. Here Comes the Pain had both parties button mash which got boring. SVR07 introduced a timing minigame which didn't have any real interplay between players. '08 onwards had the struggle system which traded who was in control so no real interplay (and it could be broken with the Submission ability). The 2k's chasing system is the only one so far I feel hits all the criteria. This system works by having a circle where players have their own line that grows depending on the health of the defender. Defenders need to avoid the attacker's line to empty the submission meter allowing an escape. Attackers need to keep on the defender's line to fill up said meter to make a submission. Both parties can find a pick-up orb to give them a huge boost and use their stamina to make their line move faster. I like this system because even at their worst, defenders still have a fighting chance, there's a lot of interplay as both parties have to respond to each other, there are mind games and ways to psych players out. So being able to hold onto ropes would be unfair to the defender MyCareer and Showcase are a thing. And older games' weren't that unique with cutscenes. The Buried Alive Matches in past games was boring though
