• Fake versions of Parmesan cheese are 4 to 20% cellulose, which is made from wood pulp.
3. Crab sticks (imitation crab)
• Crab sticks are a mix of random fish leftovers with starch, MSG, crab flavoring, protein (not from good sources), different sugars, harmful oils, preservatives, and coloring.
4. Fake tuna
• These products often contain a different type of fish that is toxic.
5. Extra virgin olive oil
• Fake versions are bland and lack antioxidants and phytonutrients.
• Fake versions can contain other harmful oils.
6. Maple syrup
• Fake versions are made from different sugars with maple syrup flavoring, artificial colorings, high fructose corn syrup, and preservatives.
7. Truffle oil
• Fake versions contain a flavoring molecule to flavor other materials and do not contain truffles.
8. Powdered instant coffee
• It contains cereal, caramel, starch, malt, and figs.
• It also contains a chemical that is potentially very harmful.
9. Wasabi
• The majority of wasabi sold is a mixture of horseradish, hot mustard, and green dye.
10. Commercial guacamole
• These products often contain skim milk, vegetable oil, water, emulsified egg yolks, different gums and gels, isolated soy protein, and food dye.
• Some of these products only contain 2% avocado.

I'm surprised you didn't list fake/processed honey. As a beekeeper and small batch all natural unprocessed honey producer, I can tell you that most of what you buy in the store is processed, heated, and filtered. Much of it contains "funny honey" that is simply made from sugar water that is fed to the bees. Once it has been filtered and heated, sometimes several times, it no longer contains any of the healthy enzymes or pollen.

Yeah it's a very false premise that people will just research EVERYTHING for themselves. People have to go through uni programs to know stuff well enough, so pretending that they would magically be able to acquire all knowledge as if they didn't have full-time energy and time consuming lives to attend to is a disingenuous excuse to let donor companies and lobbies get away with possibly even manslaughter. This is perfect government shirking the very responsibility it actually gets paid for. Government has a valid purpose but most governments are corrupt cancer instead, it would seem

@bronwynreijnders7205 Жыл бұрын
@@GHall-fo3mp in south africa where I'm from, we have a regulatory body for olive oil. It needs to have their stamp on the label for one thing. Then also, I did a lot of research on particular producers and the labels they release and how these were tested and offered to the public. The regulator also releases a publication with the list of top oils in each category for the year. It's not 100% foolproof - if someone is determined to adulterate the batch it will happen, but by doing some reading and digging you can at least significantly reduce the chances of buying adulterated oil. I also buy my olive oil from a particular store that bases their image on exceptional quality, so they are less likely to knowingly stock fong-kong products.

Our own laziness and their greed combines. Also we are busy but when the home kitchens are shut down to buy from outside we would truly lose our right to eat right. You name it. Yogurt,sour cream, juices, because everything is taken over by the big chains. The by product of these companies is the main product of others. 'Carrageenan' it's added in everything yogurt, sour cream, butters, ice creams, anything that needs a thickness. In fact the cheap version of carrageenan is also made to reduce their manufacturing cost and they charge for authentic product. All kinds of cheese had this, cellulose, netamycin. Dairy industry we have no idea what we are eating from milk to you name it. Yesterday I got cilantro not organic it was so big branches, leaves and stems are really thick. Normal cilantro is actually not that long stalks and has small leaves. We have completely outsourced out health and "right to eat right". This should be a new bill - Right to eat Right

The FDA is in Cahoots with big pharma. Many of our politicians have heavily invested in either or both. Thank you for this video. There never is too much information about food in this world. Living in a Scandinavian country with tight advanced food research I feel rather safe while going grocery shopping, but having heard this I certainly will pay more attention. The more I watch you, the more I like you. I sense your truth. Your words speak to my inner being. Their meaning brings the power of knowledge. The information on one of these foods is shocking, the combination of so many of them is like reading the ingredients of death (if it had a label). Or ingredients for one of many ways to cause self destruction. "I'll try a plate of surf & turf death!"... on second thought, I'll just read this label before I eat. I live in a building with many mentally challenged people. Honestly, I think all people should be challenging themselves to be better people, in all ways, all the time. Learn from your mistakes and move forward seeking improvement. I am my own walking example of the choices I've made.

No it’s not cows milk, it’s some kind of very frightening calcium additive and some kind of Guar gum, Locust gum or agar. I think the agar might be the safest, but the other ones are known to cause inflammation of the gut. And here we are trying to eat healthy food. There are brands out there that do contain only almonds and water and maybe a little salt, but you have to read the labels carefully. What gets me is that I bet if I get store-bought guacamole and turn around the package I won’t see all the additives. Obviously, you’re not gonna see them with the Parmesan cheese. It’s infuriating that we’re not allowed to know what it is we are consuming in this country/the US. It should be a crime. Feels like everything is just slipping out of our hands at warp speed these days. I knew about the olive oil. You can still find actual olive oil, you just have to look for it and pay for it

I am 70 years old and need to keep my food budget in check. Of everything on your list I try to avoid but I do eat fake crab or surimi. Where I buy it it is 8 ounces vacuum packed and costs $1.99 a package or less. It claims to be made from whitefish ( what they make fish portions and fish sticks out of ). I realize that is not the greatest fish product in the world but when you are on a fixed income and all the other sources of protein are not affordable you have to eat something. When eggs, chicken, turkey, beef, pork and other fish are running anywhere from $4 a pound to $16 a pound or more you are between a rock and a hard place. I use it 4 ounces in hot or cold dishes that I try to make as healthy as possible. I also eat a lot of beans and vegetables, and I alternate my starches between rice, pasta, potatoes to stretch my food budget. I avoid added sugar, sweets, fast food and mostly drink hot tea. I own a British Berkefeld water filter system so I drink lots of water. Doing all this I have been able to stay within my food budget and I eat twice a day and on the days I am working I also eat a serving of oatmeal.

It's so sad to know that all those big companies only care about money. But we have to do our part, at least take the time to educate ourselves and avoid the junk food as much as we can. Thank you Dr. Berg for your videos. Not sure if you will ever see my comment but what brand do you recommend for extra virgin organic olive oil? My cousins in Italy visit me fairly often. They can tell the difference right away when it came to olive oil and parmigiana cheese and pasta too (not to mention tomatoes used for sauce). In fact, they are very particular with everything they eat and only like the best. Much of which cannot even be found easily in the USA. I've visited them often as well. I've tasted a lot of real parmigiana and the difference is night and day like a cheap hamburger vs. a prime fillet minion. They showed me how to tell real olive oil simply by the look and smell of the oil. I buy only imported certified organic cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. It is expensive but worth it. When I taste real olive oil it does what Dr. Berg said in the back of the throat. It even tingles the tongue a bit. The taste is really completely different than the junk sold on the store shelves here.

This is an incredible video! Thank you, Dr. Berg. We have definitely changed the way we eat in our house. No mayonnaise or anything with soy ever. My kids are 6 to 19 years old. Our oldest is muscular, ROTC, wrestling, track & football. I see some of his friends very skinny & with man boobs. It is happening so much in the U S because soy is added in everything now just like sugar. Other foods banned in other countries is M&Ms & Skittles because the coating contains a toxic chemical. Mountain Dew, cereals, anything instant is NOT real (ex: anything boxed like instant potatoes, Hamburger helper, etc ) & last is cow's milk ). We have a few chickens now & we make omelets in the morning instead of anything processed. The main concern is why does the FDA still approve them? I read a book on that subject, very scary. You want to know where most cancers come from? Our food. Also watch the show ROTTEN on Netflix. That's where we started.

My heart sank when I seen crab sticks. I get seafood salad all the time, thinking I’m pro keto lol. Clearly not. Its kind of crazy, I learned about maple syrup in my teens. In fact that is what changed my entire view on food and led me into being more conscious of what I eat. I’ll never forget, I was eating breakfast with my family and I randomly was looking at the aunt jamima bottle. I saw nothing in the ingredients that actually said “maple” and I asked my mom, what the heck are all these ingredients. At the time she just shrugged it off. But I was so curious and started doing internet searches on all the ingredients. Realized it was all fake! There was nothing maple about this Frankenstein liquid lol. I never looked at American food the same again, and went down the rabbit hole of nutrition and reading labels. Before it became a trend to be health conscious I was on this in the late 90s early 2000s.

It is also because many people don't want to have "big" government that could actually enforce these laws/regulations. Look at the history of the GOP reducing regulation and enforcement ability. Add to this that Big Agra doesn't want regulation and have severely compromised the FDA and USDA. Unfortunately we consumers must rely on Dr. Berg, Dr. Lustig, Nina Teicholz and others with integrity to actually inform s based on the science. 😊

@naoufal450
@naoufal450 11 ай бұрын
About olive 🫒 oil, my family in Morocco 🇲🇦 don't buy it packaged, not either ready from farms. What we do is somewhat a known practice, we go to a region known for growing olive oil, we buy olives directly from a farmer, pick them to a mill (usually there are a lot nearby) and get our oil in there, like a full year reserve of pure oil, no added stuff, strong flavour and is cheaper. A fun day trip. So about mills, there used to be only traditional mills, just animals turning around to mash the olives, now there are also modern mills with electric machines. There people still prefering traditional ones, and I understand why.

I can always tell the difference between store bought avocado and fresh stuff. One is the texture…the other is that incredibly weird taste. It’s hard to match the taste of real guac with pre-packaged and shipped stuff. I don’t understand the problem with fake wasabi. Horseradish and mustard are pretty good too and horseradish is related to wasabi I believe. Maybe the dye isn’t great but we are eating it in such small amounts to begin with.

@garuda4361

Of course it's legal there. The whole country is ran by corrupt businessmen and bankers. They own the politicians, justice system, all food industries, the FDA, the medical industry, the media, everything. They profit from making people sick and selling medicine. And creating dollar slaves through banking system. People are system slaves being poisoned and indoctrinated from the moment they come out of the womb, and they have no idea, because they read lies about the world in history books and watch lies on tv every day. Natural cures are being made illegal, and dangerous treatment and medicine are legal, they even make you pay for it.

Cellulose can be made from corn as well. It’s more probably they are using more from corn than wood pulp because it’s cheaper. And since the sugar of corn is used to make the dextrins and fructose then the husk is used for cellulose forms
