Who's ready for a healthy grocery haul for the new year!? This time we went to Aldi to check out some of my favorite healthy budget items, because we could all use some savings now that the holidays are over. I was blown away by the price of some of the items for this Aldi haul, especially the grass-fed beef and bison, wow! If you are going to start eating healthy in 2019 and want to do so on a budget, then Aldi is the grocery store you want to check out. Of course, this haul also features a few items to stay away from, like the almond butter(palm oil & sugar), baby spinach(not a good price), & grapeseed oil( heavily processed). In general, I think Aldi has some very healthy products at prices that are unbeatable, we listed so many of them in this grocery haul. Where to for the next haul video!? Much Love..Bobby, Dessi, & Art XOXO

I love how far Aldi has come! I remember as a child, Aldi was almost entirely canned goods, processed foods and boxed dinners. Little to no produce and limited meat. They're now in the same league as Trader Joe's or Sprouts. Love it

The quarter for the cart isn’t “cheap.” First, you’ll get the quarter back when you return the cart. Second, the carts last longer when they’re not abused in the park lot, and, Three, Aldi saves money by not having to hire a lot attendant to fetch up those carts 🛒. Four, no feral carts to hit your car. Aldi does all sorts of cool things that save them thousands every day in operating costs. This savings goes directly to the consumer, which is a different business model than most American companies where the savings in operations goes to profit the stockholders. You can buy a little key fob that has a slot to keep your quarter. Rest assured that your cart will be in excellent condition without wonky wheels and parking lot dirt. Everyone wins!

I'm in Germany at the moment, home of Aldi - here the cart usage is not .25 cents, it's 1 Euro! which is equivalent to $1.14 - however, yes, you either get it back when you return the cart, but they also have chips available to use instead

I agree, i am from Italy and all the carts are with coins, when i came here in the us i was shocked by all the people who left the cart in the middle of the parking lot , they like to complain when a parking spot is taken by a cart but they are the first who don't put it back in place, all stores should have the carts with the coins.. it would teach a lot of people to be civil

They are NOT charging for their carts! It's a deposit. Here, in Germany, you have a choice of using 50 Cents, 1 Euro or 2 Euros. I usually use 1 Euro ... because I'm a bit worried that a 2-Euro cart might disappear without me if I don't watch it ;-)

I’m in Connecticut and started shopping at Aldi because if their produce, lol. In other grocery stores, the fruits and veggies aren’t wrapped. You bag the quantity you want. I far prefer that it’s packaged since I witnessed a child pick his nose then touch a display of loose apples. My Aldi always has good quality, fresh, PACKAGED fruits and veggies. It’s interesting how regional these things can be. 🤗

You do know that Aldi sud is the parent company of Trader Joe's :) And on having to deposit .25 for a cart... well that's a european thing (Aldi is of German origin) where it encourages you to put back your cart after your finished vs. leaving them all over the parking lot. (In France it typically required 1 euro (think of it as a $1, so heck ya, push it back :) )

They do that in some supermarkets in the UK too. The ones where you have to pay for trollies, get put back in the right place. However, the places where you don’t need to deposit £1 for a trolly, means you find them dumped all around the car park and even the streets.

Since Trader Joe's and Aldi are sister companies, some of the products are the exact same, only with different graphics/brand on the packaging. e.g. The regularly available sweet potato and exotic chips are identical but less expensive at Aldi. Unfortunately, most of the TJ products at Aldi are only offered for a limited time = need to shop at Aldi regularly and stock up.
