Get ready for a no equipment needed, leg and ab burning workout! This is a workout I do myself when I need a quick, but effective, leg and ab workout.
Start with 1 set of 10 reps of each exercise and build up to 2 sets of 15. You can add a band for a bigger challenge
1. Bent knee pulse
2. Bent knee lift to fire hydrant
3. Fire hydrant extension
4. Bridge march
5. Bridge hip abduction
6. Single leg bridge
7. Opposite arm and leg lift
8. Single leg drop
9. Criss cross legs

1:40 I really love that this exercise is shown so that the back really stays stable, even if the leg is stays a little bit lower. I have spondylolisthesis with slight instability and I cannot do anything that makes my back wiggle. This video encourages me to do this exercise in the way I am able to. Love your energy also! 🌞

I stumbled upon Dr. Ennis after searching for "knee pain" relief. I have to say......I'm hooked! I'm up in the years now and no spring chicken, and I can honestly say I now use many of her videos in my daily routine. And it always helps that she is stunningly beautiful! Thanks Doc!!

I really appreciate that you make your workouts so doable!..not like the celebrity shows (fake)... I am 72 yrs old. I have been working out since I was 20..I do 5 classes a week still! I see my body changing (read:aging) but I can keep up with the youngsters any time!! My waist is my big issue, as I have shrunk 2 inches in height..and expanded in the middle..like punching down dough (it's a visual thing).hate those love handles!..I also admire your personality - you allow yourself to be human! and have great humor..I bless you with continued success...

Thanks for sharing, I like to watch which specific muscles are targeted then , when I do the exercises , I focus on those same muscles . I find it really helps (as well as taking my mind off the effort! ) , and I then can feel and see the benefits on my body . I loved your push-ups session, it helped me so much. Do you have anything on pull-ups?

Could you do a vid on core strengthening for people with neck and hip flexor injuries? I have never been able to find effective core exercises that do not cause neck and hip flexor pain to my injuries. Anytime leg or head raises are involved, l can’t do them. I have been given very easy ones by my PT, but they don’t work😔 And thank you for posting these, l’ve used a few and really love them🙏🏻🐶

Just found your channel Dr. Ennis! You have a truly informative, but paraphrased, style of delivery in regards to topics! If I may ask, are there any workouts that can "wake" your body up when feeling a bit lethargic. In addition, I do have some developing turf toe, as a developing boxer, I pivot and maneuver quite frequently. Are there any exercises for that? Or do all I have to work with is KT tape and rest?

You just killed me. I did this after 50 mins tabata and kickboxing but I must say this is more challenging than the other two exercises. Boy was glad it was only 10mins 🤣😅.... One question though with the slightly bent arm and leg stretched to the side, I felt like was straining my spine, maybe I was doing it incorrectly?

I unfortunately always look at any exercise in the context of "will it aggravate my stenosis/sciatica?" These look pretty safe, and I would like to try them (I've gotten a lot of great advice from your programs) Thoughts on these exercises for folks with stenosis?

I can understand that! Typically with stenosis, extension makes things worse. I always make sure my patients are able to keep a neutral spine with all exercises or some flex ion. Keep that in mind when doing exercise:)

It definitely depends on the cause of low back pain and what triggers it. If you have concerns, it’s good to run it by your health care provider.

Unfortunately, any video that is over 8 minutes automatically gets adds placed in the middle so I’m unable to change that.
