Thank you so very much for all you have taught us. We began this journey after my husband had MAJOR surgery in July, a 5 cabbage bypass! it became clear to us two RVers in our seventies we needed to down grade and sell our RV. But what to buy? I was attracted to crossovers but did not even know the difference between a crossover and a SUV. I turned to youtube and discovered you. The research was a 5 month project wanting to make the once in a lifetime best purchase. I sit now recovering from surgery my husband pulling into our driveway with our 2024 LexusRX450h+ plug-in! After coming to this conclusion you can only imagine the reassurance when our most respected youtube adviser ranked it number! Question. A Canadian or English youtube lady said Plug in crossover with a 120 outlet can be used without the motor on for heat or air conditioning when camping. Please explain

My list: 1. Lexus 2. Toyota 3. Honda 4. Mazda 5. Acura In our stable we have 2 Hondas, 1 Lexus. We traded 3 Mazdas for them. Mini doesn't belong anywhere near the top 5, IMHO. I'd be a bit queasy placing any BMW product near the top 10. No matter what, it seems that almost any repair at BMW is over $1000 for a long, long time. Personally, l wouldn't buy an out of warranty Bimmer for anything! And I was the guy who decided trade values at a dealership. Those 5 above get the best resale values historically.

Great great car bands over the years have improved their prices and service on maintenance only services cause you have to do that. If your cars are actually reliable, so brake pads become cheaper or changes become cheaper tires become cheaper they were way too expensive back in the day relatively speaking, so that’s a queue to look for

People complain they have to spend X amount of dollars to fix their car but don’t bat an eye when they spend 5 figures on a yearly vacation trip. I know someone who does this and drives around in Toronto in a $80k Ford F150 with bald tires during winter because they don’t want to spend money on tires.

I noticed the Subaru Forrester reliability is superior to the Outback(CR reliability).. Both use the 2.5L FB25 engine as standard, but only the Outback has the turbo option. It seems to me the turbo drags down the Outback reliability? Also the Forrester still uses a more reliable previous generation entertainment system instead of the more buggy upgrade in the Outback

Tesla is just an electric clunker, though a pioneer for BEV. Its lack of reliability and the expensive repairs are legendary. Expensive (especially when you factor in the cost of the replacement battery), unreliable, polluting (even before considering the mining for battery's raw materials), very dangerous (even more when burning), impractical, controllable by the "elites" etc. A good tool for the Chinese commies.

Where Consumer Reports is obviously faking the results: 1: it is illogical Mazda's fall (for so many years in Top 3, especially thanks to the amazingly efficient Skyactiv G engines, now with the X range) to the 6th place, especially below the Mini clunkers (that do not belong to the Top 10 at all); 2: the same Consumer Reports that placed BMW in the 3rd position last year now it's (falsely again) placing Bring My Wallet to #9. In fact BMW should be out of Top 10. And the CR does the same "mistake" yearly. Some "mistakes" in the previous years: Buick, RAM, Dodge, Lincoln, Infinity, Audi, Kia (all these clunkers entered suddenly the Top 10 in the last 4 years, but later they have exited it - just like BMW and Mini will do); 3: the same CR that made Suzuki exit the USA market with a fake review on Suzuki Jimny (Samurai) is taking advantage of the trust of over 330'000 drivers (giving the correct facts on their cars). If the things were done professionally, today the USA drivers would benefit of some exceptional cars such as the Suzuki Jimny or the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV etc. That's why I like that the CR surveys are being weighted against other cars statistics in such videos. The fair Top 10 would be then: Lexus Toyota Mazda Acura Honda Subaru Suzuki Mitsubishi Nissan (they got rid of Renault, CVT issues years ago) Porsche

I always wanted a MINI but always read how unreliable they are. It's because of Consumer Reports ratings that I decided to take a chance and buy one. I'm happy I did. I joined a Facebook MINI group, and they will be the first to tell you the first 2 generations of MINI's where as unreliable as people said they where. According to them you should only purchase one 2015 or newer. That's when BMW put their on engines and transmissions in them. Despite what Car Help Corner is saying even the first few years of the third generation model change have average or above average reliability. Which makes me feel the fourth generation is not going to have all the problems Car Help Corner is expecting. Only time will tell.

Tiny engines, with turbo chargers and direct injection --- good luck with those cars. Toyota, most likely, is in reality the line of cars which make it to the finish line of your ownership, and a couple more owners without major problems. Let's include Lexus. Porsche is the best luxury brand, as it still has quality built in, unlike the changes seen in other German makes over time. How long will most CVT transmissions last?

Toyota doesn't put the cruise control on the steering wheel where it should be. The raison d'etre of an automobile is to move under its own power, and the cruise control attaches that very conveniently to a computer. That is a primary function (unlike "sound system" or "A/C" or "seat massage"). Lexus has not changed the design of putting an unnecessarily complicated "stalk" as some misshapen appendage to the steering wheel since the early 1990's!! Mustang in the 1980's put their cruise control where it belongs, on the face of the wheel under your thumb, with a simple "set" "+" "-" "res", deactivated by the brake. I will not buy a car that doesn't have cruise control on the face of the wheel.

Hi Shari, I only agree with Toyota, Mazda, Subaru and Porsche on this list. Every other brand mentioned in this video I disagree. Why is Acura and Mini are still in business? Disastrous over priced marketing failed brands.

The MDX is still the best selling 3-row luxury SUV in North America, so they are still relevant. The ones I can't explain are Mini, Fiat, or Infiniti.

That list is so flawed! how could you rate a car company based on only two of its models and the others the entire range and call it fair mini is up money Pitt just bmw! Kia don’t belong nowhere in your top 10
