A lot of them. But after a couple of months of getting on betaine HCl and digestive enzymes, I'm still having pain really high up in the stomach after everything I eat. Even water sometimes. Tired of being in pain. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Wondering if there's a point where maybe I'm supposed to get off the HCl? Because it seemed to be working well for a while and I had weeks of no pain. Maybe it's too much now?
@minniethemouse62 Жыл бұрын
Same here…all of those symptoms…all while going to the doctors and begging for help. I have Betaine HCL and Ox bile (no gall bladder) but I was talking them improperly. Based Hale‘s videos, the HCL is taken with the meal to acidify the stomach. Bile is taken 1 -1/2 hours after the meal to replace the bile that would normally be added in the intestines.

Perhaps "doctors just don't care" but even closer to the TRUTH is that doctors DO CARE about making money. They work hand in hand with BIG PHARMA and they subscribe, subscribe, subscribe - as much as possible! They also only learn a VERY NARROW version of what health is in medical school. Let's face it - their 3 main go-to's are RADIATE, CUT or MEDICATE. That's what they were taught and that is MOSTLY what they have to offer. That is why so many are seeking alternative methods of healing - or rather - many are seeking ways to heal vs. ways to cover up symptoms and continue to live life with an illness or disease as their doctor is not helping them to heal - and most do not even know how to heal. They simply know how to cover up symptoms - with medicines that are TOXIC - with long lists of so-called "side-effects" and they even include that they "could cause death" as one of the "side-effects". You MUST become your OWN doctor, learn how to listen to your body, do you own in depth research (as we can find MUCH info on the internet these days) and learn how to ascertain what resonates with you and your body and what does not. It is up to us now. DUMP THE SO-CALLED DOCTORS! Unless you utilize their equipment for diagnostics and such - or for a broken bone. Otherwise, seek out info on your own - or IF you can afford it - look for a "Functional Medicine Doctor" - who will guide you in the wide spectrum of WAYS TO HEAL the body! Good luck! Stick with it. IT WORKS!

I've been aware of low stomach acid for some time now and have been adding ACV to a glass of water before meals (plus Flaxseeds already softened in water overnight and Olive Oil). However, I never realized low blood pressure is also linked to low acid. Excellent information - I now know why!

@irenemcwatt2088 Жыл бұрын
@@mercyajoke3475 Absolutely fine. I don't have h Pylori infection, but taking 2 tsp of the vinegar in a full glass of lukewarm water the ACV tastes like a soft drink. However, if you add Extra Virgin Oil to your regime, this will heal the skin on the inside of your gut. Take from 2 tsp. to 1 tbsp of olive oil every day, and if you suffer from itchy, eczematous skin, the olive oil will help reduce this problem too, and probably heal it altogether. Look up Dr Mandell on KZfaq, he explains best the benefits of these ancient healing remedies.

Excellent video! A coworker did have a subset of these symptoms. 1) Certain foods made him severely boated. 5. His stools were creamy, yet constipating, irritating, and always had a scent. 7) Always hungry. 10) Charlie horses (sign of low minerals). Great progress was made with introducing acid (e.g., apple cider vinegar, vegan betaine HCL, tangerines) when he ate. Haven't tried sparkling water, yet. His stools are now good texture, the bloating is dramatically improved, but stools need more darkening, so I watched the video on the bile flush. Challenge is he has a history of kidney stones so he avoids oxalate-rich foods like beets and spinach. Suggestions?

I used to be very athletic and participated in many triathlons, marathons, etc. After my hysterectomy, everything went down hill. Diagnosed with H.pylori last year, two rounds of antibiotics and my bitter mouth taste 24/7. I've tried HCL, aloe vera-ginger, L glutamine, swiddish bitters, ACV, celery juice, bone broth, no dairy, no grains, no sugar diet. Can I live a healthy live after all these issues? I have had the chronic laryngitis thing for 30 years. I hear you had it for eight. Congratulations on beating it. Mine occurred after a bad cold I got while binge drinking in Mexico. Lost my voice then and life has sucked ever since. Socializing sucks etc etc etc. You know what I am talking about, no pun intended. Most people dont have a clue and kind of role their eyes when you whine about it then when they get a bout of laryngitis for three days they take off work and because it is so difficult to communicate but still roll their eyes when you bring it up. I was hoping I had silent reflux and apple cider vinegar would fix it but it hasn't really helped. I also tried the inhaling of a baking soda water mist to neutralize the pepsin but that hasn't really helped. Is there a good diagnostic to check if you actually have low acid? Like you, I saw dozens of doctors, ENT's. PPI's , voice therapy, etc. nothing helped. My diagnosis is muscular dysphonia by the way. Cheers! Dan

@karlhungus5554 Жыл бұрын
Hey, T.C.: I wonder if you might comment on the article below from functional medicine practitioner Michael McEvoy? ~~~~~ *The HCL Challenge: Why the Conventional Test is Dead Wrong* The conventional HCL challenge test involves the ingestion of Betaine Hydrochloride in order to gauge if the parietal cells of your stomach are producing adequate amounts of stomach acid. The test typically involves taking one HCL pill with food and then increasing by one per day until a burning occurs. If burning takes place at a low dose it is thought that this is because your stomach is producing adequate HCL. And if a burning occurs at a higher dose it is thought that it is due to low levels of HCL production in the stomach. The problem is that this is absolutely not what is really happening with this test. In fact, if a small dose of HCL produces burning, it is not because you have adequate HCL at all. If HCL supplements produce burning it indicates rather that your mucosal barrier is damaged! The HCL is producing burning because the acid is burning exposed tissues. Under normal, healthy circumstances, a person should be able to tolerate a lot of Betaine HCL. HCL only contains about 2-3% hydrogen. The clinical response that occurs with Betaine HCL supplementation is more due to the Betaine than from HCL! If you are experiencing burning with only 500-3,500 mg of HCL, your gastro intestinal mucosal barrier is in a state of distress. Many researchers believe that a person with a healthy mucosal barrier should be able to tolerate upto 26 capsules of Betaine HCL! People who are recommending HCL supplementation to people that having burning sensations after an HCL challenge test are only contributing to the breakdown of the mucosa. It is possible (and likely) that a person with a damaged mucosal barrier may have low levels of HCL being produced by their stomach, and have a need for more stomach acid. However, the mucosal barrier needs to be repaired first! Otherwise the implications are not good. How Can One Test for Hypochlorhydria (low stomach acid)? The Heidelberg ph test is probably the most accurate way to gauge HCL insufficiency. However this test is invasive and the Heidelberg machines are not easy to find. Blood tests can identify Hypochlorhydria fairly well, especially if the chloride value is less than 100, and if the Co2 level is greater than 27. However, chloride and Co2 values also identify other variables in the body. If the person has clinical signs of HCL insufficiency (gas, bloating after eating, undigested food ins stools) and their blood test correlates, then HCL insufficiency is likely. Another way to accurately gauge HCL insufficiency is through HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis). Clinicians have identified direct correlations between the Heidelberg ph test and low HTMA values. ~~~End of Article~~~ Several years ago, I had a Heidelberg pH Test (swallowed tethered capsule that measured pH and transmitted data to doctor's laptop) and was told I had low stomach acid. The provider told me the standard alternative medicine advice to start taking capsules of HCl w/Pepsin. I was told to begin with one capsule with meals containing at least 20 grams of protein. I was told to do that for two days and if I didn't experience any warm feeling in my stomach to increase the dose to two capsules per meal for two more days. And, so on. I got up to about five capsules per meal per day with no warm feeling and I was worried about going too high and possibly causing problems. So, I spoke to my functional medicine doctor about the issue and he said "Eh, okay. You can stop taking them." His lack of interest made me wonder if he even knew what he was doing or if he was just guessing. I mean, if he really believed in the pH Gastrogram study and the HCl capsules as the solution, I thought he might try to persuade me to keep going for a while longer. But, nope. He dropped it like a hot rock. That seemed like a waste of several hundred dollars. I know Steve Wright and Jordan Reasoner (SCD Lifestyle) have the same thinking about titrating up on capsules, but I now see there's a lot of people just repeating things in the "Health" space. Actually, I think their advice was based on the advice of Jonathan V. Wright, MD of Tahoma Clinic in Washington state. From what little I know about you, I'm pretty sure you've read all the stuff I have...and, much more. I don't know if you ever experienced it, but I'm frustrated from trying to figure out just what the heck is correct. I've been dealing with a lot more serious issues (Lyme, unemployment, both types of sleep apnea, chronic fatigue, and more) and the continual searching for answers is exhausting and it drains what precious little mental and physical energy I can muster. Thanks, my friend. Sorry for the long message.

TC, If u have any of these symptoms, should u yea or nay on fermented foods like raw saucerkraut? Should I kick the raw cabbage in the nuts, if I have poor bile flow. My candida screams daily!
@KickItNaturally Жыл бұрын
The symptoms aren't usually enough to figure that out. I just like to see clients use those in moderation. Probiotics are good, but that doesn't mean pounding the body with them nonstop is better. But I guess I need to make a condida video. I'll add that to the list.

Great @Annatino Joy ! You might want to download my book for free in the description above so you can read chapter 3 that explains how to use HCL, and why we don't use HCL with pepsin. And why we ALWAYS have clients use Beet Flow if they're going to use HCL. Let us know how it goes.
@anatino Жыл бұрын
@@KickItNaturally thank you for your answer. I speed read your book. Unfortunately in Canada I cannot find beet bile. I take bile salts before eating and HCI with pepsin. I’m confused. Some say it had to be with pepsin and some say not with pepsin. It’s pretty expensive from Pure company and I don’t want to throw them out. I also take Artemisia 2 capsules X 3 to kill parasites and bad bacteria and 2 Billion Bacillus coagulans. Have five strain Bifido probiotics but stoped taking them after I felt weird. I am dealing with constipation and bloating. I’m not sure if is from antidepressants small dose I’m taking and perimenopause hormonal but it’s driving me insane when I see this stupid belly swelling after I eat. Never in my life o went through this. It’s all new like six months. I believe the antidepressants messed my gut. Unfortunately I cannot cold turkey them because horrible withdrawals risk and I will take at least a year to wean myself of.

Hi @Annatino Joy , I don't think they caused it, but they could be a factor. Just know I help clients fix their bloating all the time, even if they are using antidepressants. Can you please explain to me why I can eat steak and have no trouble with digestion, but when I eat grains (including gluten free) I get indigestion and reflux??? I do take HCL acid with these, which does help, but if my HCL is so low - according to your information I should not be able to digest meat easily. Like I said, I can eat meat with no HCL supplement and experience no digestive problems at all. It seems to be something more than just HCL levels alone?

My question is... what are the signs of possibly too much stomach acid? I don't burp or belch. However, I have chronic diarrhea every day - would this condition be the stomach acids are so strong that my system is being flushed out? I don't feel I'm getting any nutrition and my body is breaking down. I probably should not take digestive enzymes? Thank you.
@KickItNaturally Жыл бұрын
Hi @S. Stephens, in most cases, it's more about a lack of bile flow and inability to neutralize the acids. This video will explain more: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/frunZrGmta3Xp30.html

Hi doc, is a 24/7 rumbling and very noisy stomach a symptom of low stomach acid? My stomach is never silent and I can barely digest food. I’m also always bloated and suffering from constipation as well- sometimes diarrhoea…it’s very tiring
@KickItNaturally Жыл бұрын
Hi, not a doctor. :) It can be, but other issues could create that too. But if someone has bloating and constipation together, that is usually a pretty good slam dunk for low stomach acid. This video can help you understand the alternating between the two: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bch1qsZ5zdHMgmg.html But your best bet would be to go through our totally free digestion course because that will walk you through figuring out which aspects of digestion are not working correctly and what steps will help you the most. @@KickItNaturally I read the free digestion course and it was really helpful, thank you. I suffer from bloating and constipation and I’m almost certain that low stomach acid or intestinal bacteria is the problem. The only thing is- how do I fix this? Where do I start? And also, no one ever talks about loud intestinal noises and rumbling as a symptom so it makes me uncertain of what digestive problem I have.
@KickItNaturally Жыл бұрын
The noises can be caused by a variety of things, so the bloating and the constipation are actually more weighted symptoms in my opinion. I would start by looking at ways to reduce a likely bacterial overgrowth like in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNCAl9KoudyoZn0.html and this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l56HnLN92JPeoY0.html and then search on channel on videos on how to restore proper stomach acid function. Wow, I literally have faced all of these issues. Over the last year and a half its gotten way worse and I have to sleep elevated cause otherwise I puke bile. Indigestion and burning are bad, green stool but thats more uncommon, lower blood pressure (90ish over 60ish give or take) and more. I have been on PPIs on and off over the years and don't think they help but thats what docs keep pushing. Heck, I even have breathing issues now and my latest endoscopy showed grade A esophagitis and gastritis... Anyone have any ideas on how to get doctors more on board? I just started seeing a new GI doctor and I'm hoping the follow up from the scopes will be productive and plan on asking for PH tests in particular. Any suggestions on tests will be greatly appreciated.

Good video, thanks! What if I burp and bloat, but have no acid reflux or stomach pain?
@KickItNaturally Жыл бұрын
Thanks @plumeria66 yeah, that is really common for someone to experience some signs of low stomach acid but not others. Most people are not going to experience all of the signs. But any sign can let you know if taking steps to correct the problem would improve a lot of things. Just keep in mind that you might not have enough acid to even experience reflux and when you start to add some it could create some reflux symptoms until you add enough to trigger the valve to close correctly. As long as you understand what is happening, you'll be able to work through that if it happens.
