Tony, have you ever read the book that spawned the low Vitamin A diet people? It's by this random engineer in Canada who used to be dying of kidney failure and autoimmune. And he does a pretty convincing job of showing how vitamin a is not a vitamin. Basically he thinks the onslaught of modern illness has a lot to do with Vitamin A gone whacky in our environment at levels never before seen in human evolution. It turns to retinoic acid in the body and he believes as a result of governed supplementation in the food supply since the 70s we're all at dangerous levels in north America. He thinks it's the root of autoimmunity, that no the body isn't "attacking itself", it senses a poison. My symptoms resonated with his books so much more than anything I've ever come across so this is why I share. It's been years since I read them and They're still stuck on my mind. It's kind of unbelievable how many issues it can link too. All you have to do is look at the effects people suffer on Accutane during and after treatment (very long after treatment). Body-wide effects. I was never on Accutane, but I've always had high calcium in blood and hair tests. I've had low blood pressure my whole life. Rn, paired with my other symptoms, I tend to believe my calcium reserves are called upon to mitigate the retinoic acid in my body. Here's the Canadian man if you take an interest. : ggenereux.blog/ The 2 ebooks are free. And they're very interesting and not as long as they seem. Fun history lessons too. He kept them a large font because he knows the crowd he wrote them for is going to have vision problems. Also, this video was the bomb. I can always count on KickItNaturally to take an all angle approach to figuring out what's going on with the body! Thank you!

After 2 flares of SIBO, I am now left with inability to tolerate my favorite foods- lentils and beans. I would try using high doses of the gal. enzyme, but still with uncomfotably high levels of bloating. it seems to me that my body has lost the ability to produce the specific enzyme needed or I've exhausted my stores. IDK, but I miss these foods! I have none of the other symptoms of EPI, and have been on HCL for about 9 months which has improved my previous reflux issue, but would like to know what else i should consider or look at. TIA!!

Great video, I've been suffering from late insomnia, and have been very determined to fix it as it's coming at a point in my life where I have so much life obligations and goals I'm trying to achieve that it is becoming almost impossible to maintain without good sleep. You are the only person I have seen share this information. I watched Huberman's sleep mastery podcast and he just mentions his supplement sleep stack for better sleep, which also includes magnesium, but never explains the nuances you share here. I bought magnesium since Huberman and everyone else is promoting it, taking it right before bed and my sleep has never been worse, I'm getting heart palpitations I'm so overworked physically and can only sleep 4 hours before I wake up, night after night, unable to fall back asleep. Ive never had insomnia my whole life until recently, and your explanations match up so well to my own experience, I'm very grateful for your excellent explanation. Just signed up for your free course, and will be learning more excellent information from it so I can correctly identify my personal imbalances, and custom tailor the correct solution for my insomnia rather than just wing it. We need more people like you who share intelligent nuanced information like this, rather than dumb it down and actually create potentially hurtful information in the process. Thank you!

This was really fantastic. I never heard this subject presented like this before and your case makes perfect sense. Too many times it's easier to just blame age, but as you hypothesize, the longer we're around, the more opportunities there are for Murphy to visit us. Brilliant! Our bodies are the most complex chemical processing plants on earth. With that comes many various states of alkalinity and acidity. The right state at the right time at the right location is what counts. Right on brother!

Hmmm… I think it’s wise to discuss this w/ Dr or nutritionist first. I had a consult w/ nutritionist at a holistic compounding pharmacy bcz I’ve neurogenic Bladder/Bowel; nerves aren’t working enough for me to go on my own. It’s neurological condition which has left me w/ a feeding tube; also have adhesions from multiple abdominal surgeries which only exasperate these issues. Nutritionist deferred me back to G.I. specialist; stating my case was too unique & too risky. + several of my specialist told me not to take any supplements due to risk of cross contamination as many of them are not FDA approved nor do they go through any kind of certified testing for gluten; which is the offender in wheat, barley, & rye. Using Catheters to urinate also deep tissue massage to help move things along in the abdomen. It’s not pleasant but it’s better than nothing. However, since adding trace minerals to include magnesium, it has made it easier to go to the bathroom. I sleep 6-8 hrs a night & get a nap during the day due to low energy just from the frequency of use of feeding tube & volume amount limits. Which means I’m hooked up to a pump a lot & still don’t get enough to maintain & sustain energy. I’m blending my own formulas using real food; organic/non-GMO. I should also mention I have celiac disease which just complicates things even more. It’s what got me in the situation to begin with. So I’m leery of anything new; especially just a little whip of information in 11 minute video. My advice would be to stay away from processed foods, eat out less, eat more real foods & make the time to cook your own meals. Your gut will thank you for it. Then you might not need to take so many dang supplements for this, that & the other to feel normal again. Idk who this person really is or what their credentials are…be careful, research your own info, & think critically for yourself. 😉
