Hi Christina, Thank you for such great detail information... I followed along with you and yes it took a few times re listening lol but then I remembered on the computer I can usually save the transcripts so I can bring it back up when I need to do it again.. However the "show transcript" is not working?? Do you know if it will be up later?? I just honestly do not have the time to go back and write every thing down step by step:( Any help you have figuring this out would be soooo greatly appreciated:)

You can click the physical product only option as a filter so it removes all the digital downloads.

Is it normal for sales to just STOP overnight? Does Etsy algorithm change or cycle? For months I've had $300-$500+ days. I felt like I was finally "making it" in this space. Week before last, amazing sales--best ever. Then, last Wednesday it just stopped. Sales are next to nothing--I'm lucky to sell $40 a day. Views are normal but barely favorites or sales. No trademark issues, etc/deactivated listings, etc. I always do day-long daily sales so didn't change any of that. Good reviews coming in for past orders. SO CONFUSED. I also have a broad range of successful niches and they all stopped (so it's not like it was just wedding and maybe wedding season slowed or competition increased overnight in one niche--it's many different niches--all my good sellers just stopped selling).

Was one of your bestsellers related to a trend or holiday that may be ending or becoming too saturated? If you also havent listed anything new in a while I find sometimes just adding a new listing or two will get my other products selling more again. But I do have some weird down weeks here and there but they usually do pick up again. its funny how your slowest day can be followed by one of your best sales day but it has happened to me before as well. If you have bestseller designs I'd also try putting those on brand new products incase your current product is just ending its popular season. Like for me, I sell mostly sweatshirts but now putting my bestselling designs on shirts+totes because sweatshrits majorly dip for the summer

@@c.u.online thanks so much for your reply, Christina! I really appreciate it. None of them are related to holidays and the niches are still pretty low saturated. It’s such a vast range of items that did well and then sales just severely lessened overnight which was weird cause I can see that happening in one niche due to competition, season changing, but not multiple niches literally overnight. Probably just a fluke thing as you mentioned where a week can be randomly slow. As of last Wednesday this occurred so I’m hoping within this week it’ll pick up again. One of my big seasons for a niche is starting up and I thought it had started based on the beginning of January sales. I’m praying it ramps up again. I do post listings pretty frequently as well! Thanks again for your response!

A question for you.. My 18yo daughter wants to start an Etsy shop and she has 7 months to diligently work on it and then will leave it alone for 18 months to go serve a church mission, then will return and resume working on it afterward. Do you think the 18 mo haitis will ruin her shop or do you think the 7 months of initial strong creation will keep it at least somewhat alive and possibly even earn her a little bit of money to come home to? (I would manage customer service and such while she was gone, there would just be no new listings.)

Etsy values consistent work. The shop will stay alive, however, there won't be much growth within the 18 months without adding new listings. I'd suggest keeping extra listings and then you can post ]maybe a few listings per week.
