The fight after All Out may have painted the company in a bad light. But Mindy's Bakery in Chicago definitely saw a boost in sales! I know I went there about a week after the event. There was a line going down the street full of people with AEW shirts. An employee asked me what happened and I told her that CM Punk was eating their muffins on screen and said the bakery name multiple times. Good advertisement for them, but not AEW. By the way, the muffins are okay. They are a bit dry, but you can reheat it in the microwave for 15 seconds wrapped in a wet paper towel.

I actually did quit watching wrestling for about 7 years back in 1991, when the all American/Gi-Joe doll himself SGT Slaughter all the sudden decided to be an Iraqi sympathizer so Hulk Hogan could be the all American around the time of the Gulf War. I could handle alot of nonsense beforehand but this betrayal; this trying to make us actually believe SGT Slaughter would be anti-American was such an insult to my senses, I stopped watching and didn't get into it again until the wrestling boom right around the end of 1997. Oh that recent loss at Wrestlemania to Cody almost made me quit again but nah, I still watch and keep up with WhatCulture Wrestling for my information every week!

Because a match ends in a way you did not anticipate, does not make it automatically "controversial". Cody losing at Mania nor Becky Lynch making a surprise return and stealing back her title at Summerslam count as "controversial" results...the latter bringing a story beautifully full circle and the former ensuring that the product stays fresh and unpredictable. An example that should've made this list instead was Eddie vs JBL at Summerslam...that was just bad booking.

For me I would add Survivor Series 2023 as the return of the medicore in the world CM Punk overshadowed the return of the real best in the world Randy Orton.

I don't even care about the Rumble, Money In the Bank, Summerslam or Survivor Series. The belts never change hands so most of those summaries are the same thing every PLE.

I actually did stop watching during the invasion angle. What drew me back in was Hogan v Rock. Stopped watching again from (2015-2022). I still watched some of the PPV’s but only kept up with the product through KZfaq clips. Even went to the mid Royal Rumble 2022 live. I slowly started watching weekly again. Of course now I just fast forward through the segments and matches I’m not interested in. Oh I almost stopped watching from 2009-2011 too. I couldn’t stand Michael Cole as a heel. He was extremely unbearable.

It wasn't the wrestling or storyline or even some wrestler getting buried. It was the crying toxic fanbase that stop me from watching. Along with the toxic between AEW and WWE fan's they have to dig at each other or can't take criticism. Depends on what you mean quit... But I quit watching WWE in 2005. I still watch wrestling... Pretty much everything BUT WWE. There was so many reasons why, but the big one was Triple H and Evolution that REALLY just took me out of it.

Brock Lesnar squashing Dean Ambrose at Wrestlemania 32 in the No Holds Barred Street Fight still makes me sore to this day. Very few people expected that Dean was going to win the match, but with the amount of hype from Hardcore legends like Terry Funk, Sandman, and Mick Foley endorsing Dean, and Dean(now Jon Moxley) going on record after the fact about Brock shutting down most of his ideas for the match. It was a massive let down, from a story-telling perspective, you could have had Dean equalize the playing field against Brock with any number of weapon spots, but it was basically, chair shot, chair shot, spear, F-5, F-5 on chair, F-5 on steps, 1, 2, 3. considering the endurance test of a main event that night everybody hated, they really couldn't have spared this match and extra 5-10 minutes, or have Dean pull of an upset to have an unforgettable Wrestlemania moment? That year's mania was so bad it made me want to drink.

Kofi LOSING the title to Lesnar in such a great short amount of time made me absolutely happy as can be. No wrestler like Kofi, Lashley or ANY "kind" of wrestler like them Should hold gold. Vince's mindset of them not being good as champions are great. There's a reason it took SO MANY years before it happened. It didn't put asses in seats. And it won't ever.HHH's reign of Terror at Mania 19 was absolutely amazing and the right call also. Like I said someone like Booker doesn't deserve the title.
