The only thing bad was Eva. The Wasteland is a devastating maneuver. Basically you're being carried and rolled over like a tumbler that grinds things smoothly (if you know) then hit the mat. It's much better than the AA or FU due to that rolling motion. The Kali chop also wasn't that bad. If you think about it it's like Big Show's knockout punch, which makes some sense. That's why boxing and MMA have weight divisions because the heavyweight guys have such massive hands that even with little force could destroy regular people.

Hence why he noted that in the move breakdown. Mark's execution of it was amazing, but the move itself was nothing special. It's very likely they could have made Mark a much bigger star with the right move.

@@superbaas8822 that's just it. It's all about execution. A super kick is nothing special, either, as it's done nowadays multiple times in almost every match. But Sweet Chin Music was still a great finisher because of how Shawn executed it.

@@notherwrestlingchannel I mean what else is Mark Henry suppose to use for a finisher? This list is awful most of these are just underwhelming finisher not “doesn’t fit the character” like i don’t see how Khali’s brain chop doesn’t fit him when he’s massive and strong. Sure he doesn’t execute it great but. i’d say it’s believable he could knock someone out with one strike

am I the only one who does like Eva Marie's Sliced Bread? admittedly I haven't any of her matches so only saw the shots used in this video, but based off that, I love the way she does it. it feels more cocky, like she is toying with her opponent rather than finishing them quickly, a bit sadistic. might not fit Eva's character, but it's certainly an interesting take on the move.

I thought Mark Henry's World's Strongest Slam was very fitting and iconic. It shows his strength that he is lifting a man like a barbell and slamming him down. I also think Braun's power-slam is appropriate for his gimmick. It fits his gimmick to see the opponent wailing on his shoulder and Braun is just parading them around. He even has the strength to do it to two jobbers at once. I did like how Wade Barret yelled before doing the Wasteland. I do like fireman's carry moves. I'd prefer if he did an Ushigaroshi, or followed his wasteland with a dropping elbow or a stomp.

I don't think I have ever disagreed more with a few of these. The wasteland was a really devastating looking move, doing damage to the whole body of the wrestler. Granted, it looked best when he performed it on a lighter wrestler, being able to raise his arms up before doing the slam made it look even better. I found it to look a hundred times more "finisher" looking than the forgotten hammer...something something. Also, the worlds strongest slam? Dude, do you see the force and the size of the person doing it? Lifting them up before forcefully jerking them downwards faster than gravity can carry them, ending with him falling on top of them, and making both bounce on the mat on impact. Out of all the slams, I cannot think of a single on that I think looks more match ending than this one.

For Strowman, I think a submission finisher would help push the monster persona for him when he comes back, but not something overly technical or flashy. Maybe a vice grip to the trapezius, with a hammer lock to trap the opposing arm? Incredibly painful looking, simple to apply, and definitely shows a 'menacing overlook' as you have to stand above your opponent to apply it. Eva Marie (not that any move would have made up for her lack of skill) would have best been served with an Impaler style DDT. Again, add a hammerlock like Andrade does, and it looks good, is impactful, and is simple to apply. Jericho comes up with new stuff all the time, so he's got his own image covered. I always thought Mark Henry could have done with a better looking submission. An abdominal stretch I think would have done well - the World's Strongest Stretch to go with the World's Strongest Slam? Miz? Just learn to apply the Figure 4 properly for crying out loud... Heidenreich? Nothing could have really saved him. His gut wrench finisher had potential, but the one executing it lacked the skill to make it work. Barret? His Elbow strike is good, but he needed a 'flashy' finisher. I think he'd have done well with something like Nate Webb's 'Soylent Green V2'. (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rNhnZc2GnNfcloE.html&ab_channel=ThunderFilez). Great Khali? HE would have done great with the Running Powerslam. A man his size? A generic move like that looks almost fatal. Moss? I'd like to see him keep the Punchline Neckbreaker, but maybe add a flatliner variant as a secondary finisher. Maybe 'borrow' from Jay Lethal and use the 'Lethal Combination' and call it something like 'Abbot and Costello' (Keeping with the comedian theme). Charlotte's moves are good as they are, but an impact style finisher to add to her two 'go-to' moves wouldn't hurt. I'd suggest a gut-wrench powerbomb like Jake Hager (Jack Swagger). But, those are just my thoughts...

It’s strange to say the Big Splash works better for Mark Henry than the World’s Strongest Slam, because of his weight. With the WSS, you’re getting that same weight landing on the opponent, but you’re also getting the impact of the slam itself on top of the ‘splash’ impact, and there’s more force because it’s accelerated through Henry throwing himself to the mat.

For some reason there is a stigma for tapping out despite the fact that it happens to everyone who gets on a jiu jitsu mat. I think Braun's slam was deece and looked good and is safe and takes care of dudes unlike the chokeslam which can be rough even if you're cooperative. His earlier standing choke was sweet when his opponent would go limp and hang

Strowman should get permission to use Train Wreck or Derailer formerly used by Matt Bloom. There’s a gal in NXT who got permission to use Wasteland & Barrett says she does it better b/c she drops to her knees upon dropping opponent. Moss should use the Moss Covered 3 Handled Family Credenza.

Bro the Wasteland is not bad it actually hurts, a lot, maybe it looks weak time to time but that was probably to protect the wrestler that were in the reiciving end the whole week

I have to disagree about Henry & Strowman. Now, yes, if it were a smaller guy doing it, I'd definitely agree. But the fact that they belong to two of the strongest men on their respective rosters, you have to give them a pass. Both guys deliver the moves with a lot of force, combined with the fact that each of them have upwards of 400 lbs. crashing down on top of the impact of hitting the mat. The benchmark of what makes something a great finisher lies in how the wrestler delivers the move. It's why something as mundane as a cutter worked so well for Randy Orton & DDP. Because they performed the move very well and made it look legit. Hell, Shawn Michaels finisher is just a kick to the face. How is it different from any other standard kick to the face delivered during a match? Because he makes it look believable as a match-ender.

Do a list of finishers that wrestlers should be using. Like Strowman should be using a chokeslam or power bomb. Something more fitting for them.

Stromal power slam. It does seam weak but maybe brings out a new twist example as he goes in the powerslam he rotates the opponent over and lands them away from him so like a releasing move. Just would give a more devestating feel since he not cradling them to mat

Unpopular opinion, I actually liked the wasteland for Barrett. The bull hammer was awesome too but the wasteland always looked hella painful to me, the way he did it looked more like he was whipping them into the mat more than rolling 🤷‍♂️
