Connection through our feet is one of the most important components to producing true power when rowing. If we are not connected at the footboard, we will not be able to drive the flywheel. Feet out rowing can quickly expose this!
To help understand the connection, try single leg rowing. Start with one leg down, and one foot unstrapped on the footboard. Work the progression from arms and body, to half slide, to full slide. Keep the full foot connected from catch to finish!
