I love when things work out I got to tow a car and wanted to get a ideal how to do load my car. Then you started talking about RFK Jr. I knew I was in the right spot, plus you taught the younger generation how to do manual work. Something I don't see much these days. Thank You Sir

I like how you get your kids helping,that's the best way to learn..The little guy was hilarious..You know he is made to be the foreman,skip the working part just bark orders,his pointing was on point :) Lilly did an awesome job too!!

Those car dollys sure come in handy. I last used one a few years back when the alternator went out on my wagon.Glad you are teaching lilly. She's a good kid. So is your son. With the pointing,he may be acting as supervisor. LoL.Thanks for the footage and,you have a great day brother.👍✌️

I rented a car carrier not the tow dolly from U-Haul to haul a 1500 Chevy truck. After making the straps tight and secure l checked them after driving a bit, just like they say to do. The chain that came with it was to small to reach the frame of the truck so l went and spent 30 dollars on that. Well after getting on the road it started pouring rain. And about 11 pm when l stopped for the night low and behold both straps were off my tires. I was lucky my truck didn't come off with all the bumps, it scared me silly. I was fortunate enough to get them both back on. But again they both came off. I was wondering if you ever had that issue?

What about the thing about having to disconnect the driveshaft on the automatic vehicles? I heard it can mess transmission up if you just try to tow it without some kind of disconnect happening. If it’s front wheel drive that’s obviously not an issue but if it’s rear wheel drive? Can you anchor the rear wheels on the dolly instead?

if u try to load it on the rear wheels u will have swaying which is really dangerous.

I tried it with the rear wheels with my Ferrari, and I strapped the steering wheel tight, and the car fish tailed a little bit, however, I made it home after going 50 miles under highway speeds. So it's possible if you keep an eye on it.

MANY TIMES U-Haul will not let you rent their tow Dolly if the vehicle you're towing it's too heavy or big. Or if the vehicle you're using to tow with is not what they prefer you use. AND THAT'S A FACT

Those are safety chains that are supposed to go to your hitch.

No, there are two sets. One set does go to the hitch. The other are safety chains to keep your car attached if the strap or rachet fails. Of course, if the chain comes into play, you've destroyed your lower A arms.

No. That would be for a tow bar. Not car Dolly.

If it is a automatic and the axle that has power to it is on the ground then you would have to disconnect... FWD pulled on head first NO Turn it around front to the asphalt then YES Disconnect,,, Reverse for RWD

As far as I know most front wheel drive are fine to pull in park... Just STOP If you hear noises and are breaking anything ;-)

do a video on vehicle weight restrictions when using a tow dolly. Example, tow dolly rated at 5,000 pounds with 750 pounds tongue weight. A Chevy Traverse or compatible size vehicle hits the scale around 4,600 pounds which leaves a margin of 400 pounds. Since the dolly is carrying approximately 2/3 of the vehicle weight, motor, trans etc., what is the safety factor or any concerns. The usually weight ratio from front to rear is divided as 60/40 as a general rule for front wheel drive vehicles. I would love to see a clear video on this topic because there isn't any clarity on this topic, not even from dealerships or towing companies such as U-haul. Now with that said, a gas motor coach is usually rated at 5,000 maximum towing capacity and a diesel motor coach can tow considerable more, theoretically speaking. Of course the hitch type can be a limit as well. What is your take on this? Me, just curious. (I flat tow)

With a dolly You have the axle weight rating on the dolly, and the capacity of the coupler and hitch system. Remembering that the capacity of the entire system is the capacity of its weakest component. Hitch, receiver, ball, coupler every piece is marked. look up the weight distribution and weight of the toad (towed vehicle) to check for compatibility. Uhaul says they the tow vehicle must outweigh the vehicle in tow by 750 lbs. If you lie you bear all lability of any incident no matter the insurance package purchased from Uhaul. The popular lie is claiming a light toad, and and then strap up to whatever you have. Uhaul has an application guide on their website where you can input your vehicles and see if they work.

If you’re towing a manual of a automatic FWD car, this video shows you exactly how to! for the people that are towing a RWD car you are supposed to to tow it from the back (so the front tires are touching the road) but I’m not sure if this dolly is equipped to do that
