The Horror Show was called 'House 3' when I watched it back in the 80's. The 80's was the decade for horror. I miss the 80's and the excitement of renting out a video. Lots of local little video shops by you.

Wes Craven's Deadly Friend should be on this list. Dead Heat could be a horror, or comedy movie but i think it could be on this list as well. Love those movies.

Sorority House Massacre is one of the best slashers from the 80s and much better than the remake.

Absolutely loved this list being a child of the '80's and loving these sort of B movies...Vamp is probably my favorite on this list.

I grew up in the 80s and watched a hell of a lot of horror movies throughout that decade, but the only one on this list that I've even heard of is Sorority House Massacre which is actually a pretty decent film.

I remember watching Superstition (known as 'The Witch' here in the Uk) as a 5 years old with the bigger kids in the street. It was my first horror film. God I miss the '80s.

The horror show and The dead pit are the best ones on the list just love the whole psycho killers coming back from the dead as vengeful spirits story plots and then picking up where they left off.

I recorded a horror film one late night in the early 90s called *"Freeway Maniac,"* a late 80s schlocky film. It's about a serial killer who escapes a mental hospital, pursues a young woman who proceeds to hide on a film set where the killer causes carnage and chaos on the crew and cast. Horrendous film and hilarious at the same time. Truly awful.

"Mystics of Bali" is noteworthy because the woman who starred in it wasn't an actress; she just so happened to be in the country at the time the movie was being made and the director liked her look, so that was why she was cast, or so legend has it anyway! Brion James was a fixture in those wonderfully cheesy 80s and 90s horror movies, for sure, and he always seemed to give it his all and play memorable characters, if nothing else.

Superstition was banned in England so brought out again under the name The Witch. Ghost house is also a good film and ghost house 2 👍

"And now my pig, you die." It's so weird and funny that I still remember that line from seeing Demon Wind YEARRRRRRRS ago. I thought the movie was terrible and didn't really have much fun with it, but...that line. It won't disappear from my bwain.

You keep talking about the bad hair styles, but all of the ones I've seen in these vids were THE thing back then. May look like icky now, but at the time, they were the best of the best.

Killer Workout and Superstition are classics. I still have my VHS of both. Even though it’s from 1990, The First Power with Lou Diamond Phillips is an amazing movie. Scared me a lot as a kid when it came out. Nowadays, the plot is pretty interesting, and when the bad guy grabs a ceiling fan and makes it turn on in his hands and tries to chop Phillips up to death is pretty awesome

"The Horror Show" looks like a bad rip off of Wes Craven' "Shocker"... Both released in 89.

The thing was back in the 80s you could watch movies and have fun and you didn’t have to worry about politics or taking yourself too seriously you could laugh at yourself not like people today

This needs to be a film series of some kind. The acting alone in some these are worth the ticket.

I am so sad that you did not mention three of my all-time favorite cheesy movies from the 80s. A Polish Vampire in Burbank, Vampires on Bikini Beach, and Truth or Dare (NOT the Madonna one 😂) I discovered most of them on USA's Up All Night ❤

Bad is a relative term. Most of these films have more entertainment value (the main reason for the existence of films) than 99% of current high budget blockbusters.

Most of these films I watched when I was about 6-7 yrs old, My Grandma literally had 2 box Containers full of Horror films. I never asked on how she got them, but she had some very Underrated ones like "Madman", "Alice, Sweet Alice", "Black Christmas", "The Kindred", "Night Of The Demons, "Dead Pit", "StageFright" and so much more! Nowadays people always bring up Freddy, Myers and Jason but I know waay better Slashers than those popular ones that people always bring up when they say their "tRue hOrRor fAnS"

I have a theory that horror must be fun to be good . Not silly , but fun . Other wise you end up with a depraved depressing gorefest

Fun fact: in Italy, "The Horror Show" was marketed as "Evil Dead Part 7"

A good addition to your list should be "Shadows Run Black". An el cheapo slasher flick made in 1981 but shelved until around 1986, this was about a mysterious killer who targets a group of female college students. Sounds standard, right? Well what makes this one so special is the following... 1: The victims all turn out to have side jobs as hookers in order to support their college studies. The killer's motivation for revenge is that his sister joined the group and couldn't handle it. 2: The killer has the magical ability to show up whenever his victims are naked. This means boobs, buns and bush aplenty - in fact this film sets a record for being the slasher film with the most nudity ever. In one scene a woman is chased around her house completely in her birthday suit! 3: The credits are so cheap-ass they appear on a computer screen. 4: The reason this junker was finally released in 1986? Well, one of the actors had just hit it big in Hollywood. He was Kevin Costner and this film was his first starring role. 5: We Australians are lucky - this junker can be found on cheap-ass DVDs for $2. With even the original VHS intro on the disc! "Shadows Run Black" is essentially the slasher movie equivalent of the obscure 1970s hippie occult movie "Blood Sabbath". Those two and the British film "Virgin Witch" will be perfect for a nudie horror triple bill. All are on DVD.

I was hoping to see the Michael Mann film called "the Keep" on this list as it was grossly underrated, but is a reasonable adaption of the book by F Paul Wilson.

Hey maybe you guys can help me figure out a movie that i've had stuck in my head. It was either an 80's or 90's horror movie and what i can remember is that there was a group of teenagers or young adults that get trapped in some kinda of haunted house. But the part that sticks out for me is that a character who where's glasses is getting pulled into some kind of light in a tube and then he started to decompose and rot away as the light pulls him closer. I know it's not the best example but i was maybe 5 years old when i saw it on tv and i just remember bits and pieces.

Vamp is very simular to From Dusk Till Dawn. Not saying they stole some ideas, but it's Quentin after all.
