Strut bars help control the cars especially during sharp turns. Nothing to do with the engine, just driving feel as it also tightens your steering wheel a little. If you want more horses I would look into a stage 2 cold air intake and maybe a full exhaust system (if not turbo-ing). Those might give you an extra few! The HPD package is really nice just didn't want to spend the extra $$$$ at the time since I wasn't planning on keeping the car long, but looks like my plans have changed LOL!

It might be possible but it will cost ya some good money and labor! I think you could get close to that amount of horses with a new cold air intake, exhaust, and a nice header. Add a k-tune or hondata tune and you’re solid. But for the cost, you might find more fun in owning a SI. If the SI came in a hatchback I might’ve considered it:) I don’t have much experience in lifting cars but the lift kits for the gr86/brz look super cool and would only cost you a fraction of what the civic mods would cost, but I can’t speak to the viability of a lifted brz having never driven one :)

@@j_cao i actually test drove the new si and the integra too. I like the creature comforts that the integra comes with over the si but I’m unsure if the 10k extra is worth it

@@shaundemarco4657 the Integra is actually based on the Civic platform so you’ll be paying $10k more for a more luxury Civic. Performance wise, I’d likely say it’s the same car. I think the only major difference is the suspension on the Teggy but heard it’s barely noticeable. Based on value alone, I’d 100% go for the SI.

@@jciao only issue I have with the si is the two Honda dealers near me either couldn’t get one placed period or had a waitlist just to place an order. Meanwhile the one Acura dealer nearby not only has several on the lot but also no waitlist, plus I have a really good friend that’s a manager there so I’d get a pretty good deal

intakes are a safe install.

My dealer told me the stage 1 would absolutely void the warranty. Maybe they were just saying that, maybe not. I plan on adding one after a couple of years of ownership.

I believe it would technically only void it if they can prove the intake is what caused whatever issue it is you're getting serviced for. However, I feel like this is a dealer to dealer basis and they could say anything. Generally speaking, intakes shouldn't void anything if you do it correctly.

Just a little bit. You can definitely hear more of the “turbo” sound, but I will eventually do a complete swap.
