Having a strong glute area / hips / butt is super important for pelvic stability. It's important you work on this at least every second day to balance out especially if you are sitting at a desk.
When we sit our glutes are 'deactivated' - meaning they go on a holiday! This causes back and pelvic weakness which causes pain, discomfort and lead to injuries and poor posture.
Your glutes are like a shock absorber! Every time you walk, jog, move, you are using your hips/ glute muscles.
By working on these exercises a few times a week you are really helping your lower body stay strong and balanced and helping to prevent back and injury. Not to mention toning the muscles aswell.
Hope you enjoy this workout ! It really is a lower body burn and will leave you feeling your butt muscles working and strengthening.

We just went for a 1.5 mile outdoor walk. Prior to hoping on computer, I did this great lower body band workout. Wrapping band around foot for first exercise, band slipped off on first set. But after securing better, rest of exercises from knees went good. Exercises from side and back went good. Love the stretches at end. Thanks Vanessa 😊❤️

Good idea to work glutes here as the sitting is no good for us, does the exact opposite 😉 Yes just watch that band, you need to have your foot in a position where it will stay secure, do practice and check this, sometimes more of a flexed foot is better💯💪

Lower body band is always a guaranteed burn. I prefer using loop bands just for the simplicity but these were all good ones too. My ITB is def tight so Im going to roll it out a bit today.

Sounds good Steph to do your ITB, I gave an awesome 7 min foam roller routine on the Foam Roller Playlist which will help with this 🤗🙌 You can use your loop or long band anytime, whatever works best! Great job, love seeing your comments!

hello this is great to hear in helping your recovery! start with a lighter band then build up as you get stronger, but make sure you have strong core and keep good technique as I instruct through the video :- )

Hi Sagar, thank you for your comments! I started the channel a few years back. I was getting such great feedback in my Pilates classes and health seminars that I wanted to share the workouts and information with everyone. Plus be able to provide short and efficient strength sessions for people that were not just about running and jumping and high impact exercise. I went through adrenal fatigue and burnout doing too much of this so am passionate about empowering people's health knowledge that you can exercise with more efficiency to get great results, without overloading your body and mind. Hi Vanessa, thank you so much for your videos! I have a question: is it ok to wear shoes for this video (or any of your videos) or does that impact the effectiveness? I am recovering from plantar fasciitis and I do a combination of your videos and need to keep shoes on for standing exercises. I LOVE the three leg stretches at the end! I will be doing those daily!

Great to hear Susan! Yep those stretches are great at the end 🤗💪Yes- you can wear shoes for all videos without it impacting the effectiveness. Good idea with the plantar fasciitis to do this. Just remain mindful to push down through heels and toes where instructed. I think it actually adds a bit of extra strength to many of these videos with shoes on! I do both myself, sometimes on, sometimes off. Hope the recovery of the fasciitis is going well. 👌 let me know if you need any help ok!

Thanks for your question 😉 I would get that opinion from your doctor and get them to outline if there is anything you should avoid, even show them this video. There are varying rules on this depending on your personal situation and history and I cannot make that judgment. If the doctor says it's ok, then do it, but do get that advice from them ok 😀
