Hi wonderful people!
Welcome to this routine.
This is a variation to the other popular shoulder band workouts to give you some variety and challenge for the upper body.

In this video you can look forward to working your : triceps, biceps, shoulders (both front and back), and your upper back which will really help with posture and upper body tone and strength!
Make sure you keep your shoulder blades squeezing down and back so you execute the arm exercises correctly. This really helps.
Do this video a few times a week in conjunction with the other videos on the channel!

Good Monday morning from Arkansas. We went on a mile outdoor walk this morning followed by about a half mile addition in picking flower in pots outdoors plus chasing a ball play. I went back to this band workout for arms. I increased band resistance. Otherwise right along with you for routine. Since plan yoga, at gym, on Tuesday and Thursday, I didn’t repeat. Thanks Vanessa. 😊❤️

Vanessa, Hello again!! I have ordered and received (they are new) a THERABAND assortment: Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red. The only (Yellow) band that I can manage is the easiest of all. I have a Gifted Band that's Black. Gifted Band? A free Black Band that some one has given to me that doesn't use it any longer. Thank you for the explanations and the details in Your Vids. Thank you, once more, taking your time. Don't worry about turning your back to the camera. You're not giving a lecture...you are explaining and demonstrating; hence, proceed and full speed ahead. You will find soon enough that you will need the different strengths within the bands 😉💪If it gets too easy where you don't feel much, do go up to a stronger one while maintaining good form. Love to hear your progress on this! And thank you for reassuring it's not rude to turn my back to the camera, I can't help but mention it though sometimes 😄🤷‍♀️

Love to do this one, on days when do LOOP band for shoulders. Other days I switch back to 12 minute shoulder and upper back. Thanks so much. ☺️❤️

Thank you so much for the videos. I am doing your exercises to recover from a bad clavicle fracture and I am better. I think that between 6 months and a year I will be able to recover in a high percentage my arm mobility. Thanks again ... Jorge (Deerfield Beach)

Sorry to hear about your clavicle fracture and good work for getting into these videos to assist your upper body in staying strong🤗💪 yes a lot can heal in 6 to 12 months, just continue to get checked by your doctor and take their advice on suitable exercise for you as you progress. Really loving this workout. We've now entered a 3rd lockdown here in England so I'm doubling up on this workout every morning to help get me motivated for the day 😃💪

I really enjoy the upper body workouts,though full body workouts would be good, only allowed out for essentials and one walk a day 😟

Just did the first day full body strength and stretch workout for week 4 higher living program followed by the 10 minute leg strengthening+balance+stability. I had a little energy left, and I wanted to even out upper body with legs balance. I did this favorite band. Thanks Vanessa ☺️❤️

I initially used therabands in rehab a few times over the years, but you were the motivating influence for me to step it up with these types of bands, and take them seriously. I love the tricep side press, as well all that you show in this video. The bonus is that you are a great instructor with a natural ability to convey your message. VanessaBest!

@@Vanessabhealthtv It's always great to get a reply from you, so thanks! Yes, I have some strong bands, as well as lighter resistance ones and I use them all depending on the circumstances. The heavier bands offer a serious challenge. What I love about the bands is that you can adjust on the fly just by moving your grip closer or further from the anchor point. Doubling up the band is another option that increases the versatility.

Love this band for upper body. Should I consider doing this routine every second day while repairing or are routines plenty for each day? Love the balance challenge, I was able to bend opposite knee, but kept toe pointed t floor to maintain balance for now. Thanks Vanessa ☺️❤️

Yes, you could do this every second day for sure ✨️💪 Just balance this out with other body parts, so you could do this one paired up with core and/or lower body. Or alternate that next day with the lower body and do cardio 3x week aswell😀💯 Many ways you can combine now since you have an excellent baseline of fitness now!

Awesome resistance band workout! Would you be able to list the stretch names and repeat count in the description? It's useful for everyday workout. Long introductions are helpful first time but not as much everyday.

Great video. Can you suggest any resistance band exercises to widen the AC joint gap to its normal size ? Seems I have AC joint impingement and is preventing me from stretching my arm overhead, I can only stretch my arm to a shoulder height. Also, I find I can stretch it overhead with the aid of broom stick but as soon as I take away the broom stick I’m unable to maintain the stretch and my arm drops. Thanks.

Hi Dave 👌 Thank you for your comment! Specifically, are you referring to a rotator cuff impingement? The acromian? It is a little out of my scoprle to give such specifics as I am not your face to face trainer. In this instance it's quite specific, so I would encourage you to get your local physiotherapist to guide you on this once they know in depth exactly the severity, your health history, etc etc. 🙌 It does sound like you need overall shoulder strength and rotator cuff strength, though. Hi, thank you for an another amazing video. I had a question, my bands keep on snapping into 2 in a few months, is it normal or am i doing something wrong?

Hi Jayant, could be a few reasons your band is snapping. 1- the brand may be not great quality. Make sure when purchasing you get a physiotherapist quality band that practitioners use. 2- you may need to powder your band more. I use baby powder to keep them from deteriorating. In this case do not let them get wet or sweaty. 3- you may be holding them too tight where its too easy for you now for certain exercises. So perhaps get a stronger band. Let me know if this helps 🤗
