Got to meet Heenan at a convention a couple of years ago. He looked frail and was wheelchair-bound. His wife did her best to translate what had by then become little more than a series of grunts. Still, glad i got to meet him before he passed on. Rest in peace, all. Thanks for the memories.

I TOTALLY agree Bella Banana, and I have ALWAYS believed Chyna to be a man as well. Not a damn thing wrong with that, but if it's true, at least be "man" ( yes, "pun" WAS intended) enough to own it and be honest about it. Sorry, just woke up, so I haven't even had a SIP of coffee, let alone a cup, yet.....LMAO

I'm still a bit upset about the IMO disrespectful way in which WWE (Michael Cole) announced the passing of The Brain, Bobby Heenan. Instead of calling him The Brain, which was his official name / gimmick, they kept calling him the weasel. "The man known as the weasel". He was known as *The Brain*. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. How hard can it be?! Bobby deserved better than that.
@ssjcajas
@ssjcajas 6 жыл бұрын
100% agree with that.
@puppelaide
@puppelaide 6 жыл бұрын
I dunno. I feel like 'the weasel' was a more accurate name for Bobby, and he may have preferred that instead of Brain to make sure that his character is seen as sarcastic rather than giving the impression that bobby took that character to be wholly serious. Also, it is possible that Bobby wanted it that way.
@kvltovfreki6020
@kvltovfreki6020 6 жыл бұрын
He was often known as The Weasel, generally used by Gorilla Monsoon and other faces on commentary to describe him whilst managing, while yes The Brain is probably more appropriate, not entirely wrong to use, but coming from Cole it doesn't feel right so I can see why people would not like it.

I know she wasn't really that popular of a wrestler, but Phyllis Burch (Diane Von Hoffman/Moondog Fifi) died July 6th of 2017. In 1992 she feuded with Miss Texas (WWE Fans know her as WWE Hall of Famer Jacqueline Moore) for the USWA Women's Championship. She's been wrestling for several obscure wrestling promotions for a while now, until her death. She was only 55.

It was Muraco, and it took place after the match was over in one of the most random endings to a cage match ever. Snuka had done a hard whip into the buckle in the corner by the door. Muraco fell over the top and tumbled out the door to the floor to retain the Intercontinental Championship. I know this because I own an old VHS called "WWF's Most Unusual Matches". I always found it funny that if that memorable splash hadn't happened, this might have been remembered as one of the oddest endings to a rather short cage match in history.

If it wasn't for Smith Hart, I would have walked away from wrestling a long time age. I met Smith at a training seminar; after it was over Smith asked why I wasn't being used since I knew *more than enough* to work a match. After that I pursued wrestling with a renewed sense of passion and (up until last year) saw regular action. I'll never forget Smith. He was a great friend and mentor.

I think he might have said his son AND Spike Dudley. Like a triple threat. Simon talks a little fast sometimes.

Paul: Chavo SENIOR, not Chavo Jr. Bronies: I listened to it several times before posting. At no point did Simon make any noise which might even vaguely be interpreted as an "and." Not even "...his sonn" [i.e. "his son 'n'"]

Edward Mohan Snuka had two cage dives. The first was on backlund (where he missed & then lost the match), then on Muraco, (where he connected) but as a postmatch beatdown after he lost the match
