I find some comfort in knowing some wrestlers die of old age natural causes. So many young wrestlers die, it’s calming for the soul to know not all die so young. Vader was a really nice man. He was incredibly smart in business. Sad that he’s gone.

@J-Hamm H: You know, when my friend Rodney told me Dynamite had passed, I struggled with that, myself. And that was weird, because for one thing, that's not who I am, and I never even met the guy. Whatever he was, though, he was still a human being. And my guess is he probably suffered more than he deserved for his attitude, let alone his physical condition. My reaction was pretty unacceptable to me and all it was was a somehow-bitter "Ok?"

I can remember when I was a kid, going to watch wrestling in a small town in England called Kings Lynn. There were some great names in British wrestling that night, Johnny Kwango and Jackie Pallo just two of them. Then there was this scrawny kid who wowed everyone when he beat the man everyone loved to hate Mick McManus, a legend over here. Little did we know that kid would become legend over the pond. He was Dynamite. So sad when he passed
@youstew99
@youstew99 4 жыл бұрын
Awesome! And then he left to Calgary which is where I got to see his debut at Stampede Wrestling where everyone instantly knew he was above and beyond anything the wresting world had ever seen. Wrestlers come and go but there will never be another Dynamite Kid, he was without a doubt, the greatest of all time and anyone disputing that just has to go back and watch his legendary matches against Tiger Mask to understand he was light years ahead of anyone else. He was so good he was the ONLY wrestler ever in the WWF to have an open contract so that he could continue to go back to Japan where he was already a legend and wrestle.

Wrestling is a brutal and grinding business, constant travel, sleeping in cheap hotels/motels, road food (processed , restaurants), performing several times a week sometimes hours away from each other. To say nothing of the documented steroid, drug, painkiller and alcohol abuse many used over the years to deal with pain (physical, emotional, spiritual). Promoters and employees have come to recognize the brutal grind of the business and the propensity for addiction. WWE travel schedules these days compared to the 70s, 80s and 90s is not even a comparison (still a lot of travel though) back then the guys were on the road 300 or more days a year. Still the body can only take so much without proper rest and recovery. The joke these days from the old schoolers is that modern wrestlers are more addicted to video games than any drug. As a 40 some thing year old who has seen many of his favorite characters/kid idols suffer tragic deaths and life situations - I kind of think it’s a good thing.

The Dynamite Kid was the Greatest of all time! It's why he was still to this day the only wrestler in the WWF to have an open contract with Vince McMahon allowing him to continue wrestling in Japan where he was already a legend long before The British Bulldogs. I got to see him debute in Calgary where I would go watch Stampede Wrestling every Friday night where he instantly became a star with his superior speed, agility, and high-flying acrobats that nobody had ever witnessed before in their lives. Despite his life out of the ring and the dark clouds that seemed to follow him, nobody who watched him can deny that he was truly light years ahead of everyone. The GOAT! Don't believe it? Go do yourself a favor and watch his legendary matches against Tiger Mask 40 years ago! Nobody can deny that he was one of the most influential wrestlers of all time.

In the case of Nick Busick: "cerebrospinal fluid" is not a medical diagnosis. Its something we all have, all the time. CSF is important in physical protection of the brain and spinal cord as well as nervous system support. I say this from a place of respect and figured you'd want to know.

I was searching to see if anyone else commented on this. I know that A CSF leak can kill you. I am wondering if that’s what he meant. I had to have a surgery to fix a leak that I had, because the spinal fluid was leaking out my nose. So it’s possible he just skipped a word.

To everyone complaining it was disrespectful or poorly timed, calm down. If they released it before the year was over world wide and another died new years eve then it would be incomplete. Also sure they made a couple small errors but they were not cracking jokes and thank God there was no "one per list."

Thats because they arent true wrestling fans, just typical "wrestling didnt exist before Summerslam 92 " late to the dance UK millenials who call Mario Brothers "brows". Bros is pronounced "brothers". Never once as a kid did anyone I know call it Brows.
