In this video I wanted to go with the flow with my palette knives and just see where they paint led. I hope this video is helpful and inspiring for you and you enjoy watching this half as much as I enjoyed creating it!

PM to Paint measurement (estimate):
1.5oz (45ml) PM to between 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) to a 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) paint to start. If too thin add a little more paint (or even a gel gloss), if too thick add a little more PM to thin more.

I feel like a sports commentator when I watch your videos lol 'Unbelievable, Jerry. I did NOT see that coming! Out of nowhere a second palette knife appears and swoops in to finish the play. What a smooth and effortless assist!'... and so on. I am so glad to see how you used the palette knife to 'lift' the paint where the swipe started and spread it out on the other side! This is probably one of my favorite color combos yet. Beautiful work, Jodie!!

WOW! This was fun to watch. It was wild to see cells forming just as they touched the canvas. Your right, those cells are bubblisos. The new little piggy colors are beautiful. Good job Jodi, and the paint. I really like it vertical. Thank you for the wonderful video.

I love this so much, it is stunning! When it is horizontal, there is an elephant in the bottom left hand corner!! I just got the same violet dark and blue black, I was really excited and now I am more excited!!! So beautiful. Love your work.

Hello there Jodie , I love the transformation of this piece . It came out so different than I thought it would . But , it came out stunningly beautiful and the bubblicious cells are so cool . I have bought many of the Atilier from the Fluid art site and the free flows as well as the tubes but alot of them I saw Shelee use them too and said the same thing about the use as a CA. So I will have to give them a try and I bought like 5 of the blue /black one lolol. I also have 2 big boxes of the 60 count Arteza paints and many others like the all the pearls too lol and the pouches too lolol, yup I am addicted to colour .. I found at Home Depot , a magnetic white board for the Shelee TLP's to use with those jars like the one she uses in her video on her piggy channel I saw it . Its perfect for them and the tops of the TLP's jars will hold alot of them on it and you could hang it or whatever you want to do , so me n my hubby gonna order one and see how many it hold and maybe order 1 more I got 102 jars so will have to see. You did a amazing job on this piece . The cells are incredible like you said . happy pouring to you .

You do want to have enough paint underneath to be able to pick it up, I’ve had a few times where I didn’t have enough paint underneath so I had to try to scoop more onto the knife kinda sideways in order to get something. It definitely works better with more paint though! 🤗💜🤗

Thank you so much Sandie, I’m so glad I’ve been able to help 🤗. Just one shower curtain fits in my 40” spinner box, at least the one I get from the dollar tree but most should be the same size. I use the US floetrol as my cell activator at times as well. I have two videos of different recipes I have so whichever may work best for you (videos 16 & 91). What a beautiful design. May I ask? Is the Sojona gloss varnish a 'water based polyurethane ' trying to find an alternative for the UK. Many thanks!

Thank you so much! 🤗 Yes the jo sonja and all the other varnishes I use on this channel (Varathane, Minwax etc) are all a water based polyurethane, that’s what you want. The jo sonja is an artist varnish while the others I use I get at the hardware store here so you can use either. Other artist grade water based polyurethane varnishes I’ve seen people use beside jo sonja is Vallejo, DecoArt and Liquitex. Just make sure it’s a gloss. Hope this helps! 💜

What size pallet knife are you using and if you don't mind telling me, where did you get yours? Hi Melody 🤗 hmmm that’s a good question, I’ve thinned the jo sonja with water before but not the triple thick but it is water based so I’d certainly give it a go and see what happens. I wouldn’t add too much water though as too much may affect your paints. And also I would use distilled water and not just tap water, just in case. Maybe try a 3:1 ratio, 3 parts triple thick, 1 part water to start and see what happens. Hope this helps! 💜💜

Omgosh it's perfect!! Love the cell action too!! I've been getting those types of cells a lot lately and I am using the talens art creation acrylic paints that I bought for a cell activator heck you saw them in the Lisa frank one I did I'm wondering if maybe it's because the cell activator is cold that's causing these beautiful cells??!! I'm half tempted to refrigerate a small batch with just the Amsterdam titanium white and try it against the talens titanium white and see what the difference would be.. I'm doin it, I wanna see if the cold is the answer to great cells!! Plus it's a fun experiment lol

@@ThePaintedDreamer well tonight's just not my night lol I started to paint and everything felt just off and then I had a few paints that had thickened up on me and I had already started laying stuff down so it started to dry on me as I was fixing the thick paints so I ended up with a streaky mess I decided okay next time I'll be more prepared I even forgot to change my shirt and ended up ruining my new shirt lol smh I know better then this crap today is just one of those pull out your hair scream into a pillow and go back to bed so you can try again tomorrow kinda days!! Definitely need to meditate and find my center!! 🤗🥰🎨💖🙏

in your description I see that you have Bade to varnish 3/1 and all the other bloomers are saying the base is 1 and polyclyric 3...so can you clarify this for me I've been doing the latter..... thanks

I’m not sure what other bloomers have the ratio at 3 parts varnish to 1 part paint (unless it’s a type) but everyone I know has it flipped. It’s always more untinted base than varnish or equal parts but never more varnish than base. You definitely don’t want that much varnish in your mix. The typical ratio for this PM is 3:1 but depending on the thickness of your base paint or your varnish you can adjust it accordingly to 2:1 or even 1:1 as the ratios are more of a guide.
