This awesome Toy restoration project came to me from one of my amazing subscribers. His father had wanted one of these since he was a boy... 80 years ago! Lucking there are still a few around, but unfortunately most of them are not in very good shape. Hopefully Mr LoFrisco enjoys!

I'm always impressed when a toy that old is still around much less in relatively good condition, speaks volumes for how it was made. Excellent restoration.

Hello from Erie, PA, home of the late Marx Toy Co.... It's common to see old Marx products around here, but they're usually in rough shape. It's awesome to see someone put some love back into one. Great job, and thanks for sharing it!

on of the first toys i remember as a child was a tin filling station made by marx...i got a scar from the corner of my mouth to the corner of my eye when i tripped and fell on it...these days i claim it was from a knife fight.

Fantastic restoration Tim. Sandblasting, sparks flying, welding and fabricating missing parts. What's not to like you folks who hit the dislike button. Restoring a 90 year old truck, I can't imagine why you couldn't get the missing parts. 2 questions Tim, were those metal wheels and what was the reason for the 2 axles on rear tires? Loved the project and you and yours stay safe. Cheers from Tennessee.👍😷🍻👍
@TRGRESTORATIONS

The wheels were wooden, Oak I believe. The rear axle had a sleeve that went over it to keep the sides from pushing in.

Very nice restoration. I have three 1930s trucks without rear fenders and missing beds, etc. The real fun for me is in not just the restoration but more in the fabrication and amping up of the toy to make it appear a lot more detailed and better looking. I would attach an image if I could but I think you get the idea. Best wishes!
