Tip size a little big for finish paint, ok for primer. Don't know where you are located but be aware of temp and humidity, choose appropriate reducer - slow, med, or fast drying time. Also found if spraying panels off vehicle hang in relation to placement on vehicle,. Gd luck

Looks like your on your way. A few suggestions. A better gun for small compressors is a conventional or lvlp gun. Something that uses under 7-8 cfm. Also, I can tell your gonna have water issues. The main thing I see is that your water seperator/filter is too close to your compressor. You'd be better off having some length of verticle air line loop before the seperator with a way to drain water at the bottoms of the loop, ball valves and drip legs. The seperator is gonna get overloaded if it's too close to the compressor. Definitely use a filter at the gun to keep fisheyes down. Use a paper style filter. That compressor is gonna run continuously. It's gonna be pumping hot air into the tank and condensing water so water separation is gonna be real important. You might try slightly cracking the drain valve to continously drain as your spraying

Also, I would regulate the air at the compressor not the gun. Keep the air valve on the gun and the cheater valve wide open and just use the cheater valve guage to monitor your pressure setting. If you set the compressor regulator high and regulate at the gun, you might have pressure fluctuation because of the small compressor. Your gonna have pressure drop thru the line so adjust the regulator to maintain 25-30psi at the gun guage depending on your needs.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find one to rent I was looking for a 60 gallon. My videos are a little behind so I needed up painting with my current compressor.

@@austindowney7142 Brother...that single piston will spray like one pass on a door then bam immediately drop air volume and make a mess of all your hard work If you connect your gun and hold the air on and compressor drops in pressure at the tank while it's running it won't work for shit and will make a mess

Send that compressor back RIGHT NOW it doesn't have the scfm required and will only drive you mad 1.7! Tip Is suitable to spray gelcoat so take that gun back as well

I ended up using an unknown harbor freight gun as a piece was cracked in my Eastwood gun anyway. Next video is the paint job!

Your fluid tip and air cap are to big . I’d test run the air compressor and your complete air hose and filter setup before you get paint going. Hook it all up set your gun at 28 pull the trigger and hold it and watch your gauge and see if your compressor can keep you at 28 psi the whole time. If not you’ll have issues keeping a nice spray pattern. You could paint individual panels and make work. Good luck!
