I think if you were a North east club Sunderland Newcastle or Boro , or a Anglican club Ipswich or Norwich or Luton to lesser extent you had a lot of television exposure, very lucky, poor Midlands fans had 10 teams to battle it out North West 7 or 8 so not so much exposure certainly at home, Hull City n Boro to Modest clubs were shown on 2 regions insane haha, where Villa biggest club in Midlands generally , but in the 60s 70s didn't get half the exposure those clubs above got at home

Brilliant complications of more evenly contested leagues! Would you be able to trace the classic underdogs Aston Villa 2-1 Southampton 25th January 1969 4th Round FA Cup Replay in front of 60,000 fans? Brian Moore was the commentator. I have a wobbly audio tape recording but not video and can't trace anywhere. Someone, somewhere must have a video copy or relocated to ATV Nottingham or somewhere.... surely? Hopeful but not expectant....🤞

Do you have the full highlights of the Wolves v Man Utd 2-2 draw from Feb 1969 televised by ATV? I would be delighted to be able to purchase a copy of that game as it the first game I ever watched
