Great pics! Nothing is more massive & powerful than the New Yorkers in that class...they were a 300 in sheep's luxury clothing. My Dad had a 72 NY Brougham 2 dr triple-white, loaded demo car w/every option (hence demo) and I broke the left rear shock absorber in high school street-racing a 69 Charger....so much torque from that 440...even then!

nice car, I consider 1972 to be the last great year of the nice looking Chrysler's before quality started to decline, I really liked the front end design's of these cars.

I had a 1972 New Yorker. It had the 440 and it would bury its speedo without even trying, would go 95 before it went into top gear, today's cars could fit in the trunk. The horn was a band switch around the iside of the steering wheel. It dry rotted and I had to replace it with a button on the lower dash. I had to sell it in the early 80s when I changed jobs and couldn't afford the 12mpg highway commute. Had a 1968 Satellite and a 1968 Fury III before that, they only had 318 engines but ran very well.

These are great, old MOPARS and it always amazes me just how massive American cars got by the early 1970s. Only complaint I have onm these is the quarter-pannel is a little plin for how huge it is.

Amazing how few of these are left. Even Ford/Lincoln/Mercury & GM of this era are still more plentiful 45~50 years later, than these are.

The 1975 model is so much better looking. It's the talk of the town.
