Please help us to continue transferring these rare 16mm film reels that cost us anywhere from $275 to $350 per reel depending on the size of the film reel. We use Yale Video and Transfer in Valencia, CA to transfer our footage. Ironically, Yale Video is that same company that shot this footage over 5-decades ago. With nearly 1000 16mm film reels in our collection from 1969 to 1973, it's imperative that we get as much financial help as possible to continue posting newly transferred content on the Tommy Hawkins KZfaq channel.

These Videos are just awesome, thank you for posting. Not only does Dean Smith look young, it seems odd seeing him coach a practice wearing a Dress Shirt and Tie, lol!

Dean and Linnea Smith were courageous and unrelenting in opposing racism, sexism and child abuse. Dean risked his whole career and his very life in early-1960s Chapel Hill by helping out with the state's lunch counter sit-ins. As for his job, he also refused to give up trying to win the NCAA title, despite something always going wrong at the Final 4. He finally got the titles he deserved.
