just traded a 1978 MIGA-SPOT welder for this exact same bike. guy said it had 60psi compression but when i got there he asked if i wanted to ride it. i was a bit puzzled how i could even start it with compression that low, but kept my mouth shut. sure enough, it ran. took it home and tested compression at 110psi. bike is super complete and just needs a tuneup and turn signals. even the original paint is in decent shape.

I have the exact same motorcycle, I put it back to bone stock. I've had guys follow me home so they could check it out.

I had one exactly like this in 1983. My older brother (I found out years later) crimped the 2-stroke oil injection line, and turned a screw in the rear tire just before a trip was made by me on the interstate. I couldn't believe the motor seized and the back tire went flat at 100 miles into the trip. I thought that to be strange, and bad, luck. I literally gave the bike away after that. I bought another just like it, and yours (same color) about 10 years ago. These bikes are quick, and a blast to ride. I don't let my brother near it!

Back in 1967 a buddy had a DT-1 and I thought that was HUGE and FAST compared to the 80's we were riding.

What is a KE250? When i was in high school, i bought a new 1975 Kawasaki F11 250 that seems like the same bike.

I have this same bike 78 Kawasaki ke250 I picked up from my neighbor. I had no clue he even had it until he pushed it out of his shed a few months ago. He said its been in there for over 35 years and doubtful it would ever run again. He sold it to me for $50. It only has 364 miles on it. I've completely tore it down to the frame, rebuilt the carb, engine, replaced gas line, new seals, its nearly showroom ready but I have one issue. During its forgotten life in the shed something fell on the tank and its non repairable. The cap is pushed down into the tank and a crack in the metal. Do you guys know where I can get a tank? I've ordered the original tank decals for the replacement tank if I can find one. The bike starts on first kick, all lights work, everything. I just need a tank and ive been looking everywhere. He even still had the original title dated 1979 Thanks guys. Happy riding 🏍 see you on the trails

Had there.250 I.realy.like mine a.lot sold it to a friend of mine why I'll never know but he brought it home drove it said it was quick for a enduro then.he took.the head off to see of it had a stock piston and it did when.he.put it back together he dropped 2 lock washers in the cylinder and didn't know rhen the moter got all messed up.in side then he moved away and my kawasaki was.long gone as well I offered him more.money thanked paid for.it he said no.so now years later I want a nother one.. pretty soon.ill.have it
