very homophobic, racist and privileged youth none the less. I mean the women said she ended up buying 100's of tops just because they were shrinking? not saying a majority of the youth now is any different, but there certainly wasn't as much education or care on how to treat others, plus these are the parents and grandparents of our Current youth so if anything it says more about 80's youth than Current youth.

I can remember my late brother-in-law (think Delboy) back in about 1980 acquiring a van load of nicked jeans, including the ones mentioned with a red stripe down the leg. The brand name was PACE, which nobody had ever heard of. I think they were just cheap copies of an expensive brand. He had all sorts of designs and was selling them off to people really cheaply. I was far too young then to go into pubs, but at his local apparently almost 100% of the patrons wore PACE jeans for the next year! He was such a rogue - he could get you anything lol.

In 1980 I had a cheap pair of jeans with a colour rubberised belt label. Offset Printed in raised font was 'SMAK' - I wore them thru, loved them like a second skin. Good as Levi's and not as dangerous as the drug!

Yeah, I had a leather jacket from the 80s. I tried it on last year, and took a look in the mirror. Sure enough, it had shrunk! Well, that's what I told myself 🙄

Only a few months into the 80s. Most of the fashions here are probably still late 70s.

I wore suits made in the 50's and 60's, as a teenager in the 80's. (My siblings were into heavy metal and motor bikes. What can I say - I was the white sheep of the family. 🥴) Old folk used to say, "It's a phase they're going through.."

While the black hair women looks fashionable she's pretty dumb by saying if the labels are cut off it's usually knocked off. 9 times out of 10 these are 2nds with the odd stitching issue etc

I think she actually said they were knocked off and had an issue with prices subsequently rising to accommodate the fact that stock was increasingly being nicked.
