Thanks for posting this. I'm about to rebuild mine and it was really helpful to see what the inside looks like. Also nice to see that the snap ring is not buried deep inside the master cylinder like it is on my Honda.

Hmm, "after I remove the reservoir from the master cylinder". I wish, how many pieces was it in when it came off? :) No way is this one shifting.

How do you actually get the throttle body assembly off the handlebars? I just cant seem to see any screws apart from the throttle cable top housing screw. There is a small screw underneath but this is stuck and I dont want to force it. I need to get the master cylinder off but someone previousley has rounded off the allen nuts. It needs to come off as a whole and then have it removed where I dont damage anything. Thanks

fostex fan, the bottom screw removes the switch assembly. There is an Allan bolt on the underside of the assembly that faces to the front of the bike. This clamps the handlebar assembly to the handlebar. It it has been damaged, you will need to use an ez-out to remove it.

Great video. The front brake lever on my - new to me - 84 R100RS sticks and doesn’t return to its position when pulling in the lever. Should I rebuild the Master Cylinder or the calipers?

BIGGZ46, I'd start with the master cylinder and see if it is the cause for the friction preventing the handle to return. There is a return spring and it may have gotten compressed.
