In Game Three of the 1987 World Series, Minnesota got an unexpected boost with six shutout innings from Les Straker, and held a 1-0 lead heading to the bottom of the seventh. But rather than ride Straker for another inning they went to the bullpen, Juan Berenguer was torched for three runs in 1/3 of an inning, and the Cardinals won 3-1.
