1990 John Deere 430: Replacing hydrostat shift damper

2 жыл бұрынThere were four different shift linkage designs for the 430, and the tractor serial numbers do a reset beginning with 1990 model. This makes ordering the correct damper confusing and a challenge.

A damper does not necessarily have a spring. They slow the movement but some also help lift and those would most likely have a spring.

Thanks for giving me an idea where it's located. Probably been looking right at it and didn't see it. I just ordered same one for a '90 318 from dealer. $150 and change!! What's a guy to do? Gotta have it and can't wait 6 weeks for one.

The location is different for the 300 tractors. Check a parts diagram.

I'm not a fan of this version. The older versions were way smoother.
