SOLD John Deere 430 package deal

Selling a 1990 430 and all the attachments, accessories, spare parts, etc. shown in this video. This a beast of a garden tractor. Very strong Diesel engine with high and low range, with locking differential. I had one use for it (digging drainage ditches), but the truth is I just wanted it to appreciate it and the great care the original owner gave it. When I bought it we had considered buying a place on a few acres, but we’ve reversed those plans and will downsize. I won’t breakup the package. It’s hard to assemble this combo of vintage accessories and I have no interest in dealing with multiple sales.
$8,700 for all.

Wow, that thing is CLEAN! I just picked one up myself a couple weeks ago and have to fabricate some mounting brackets for the front of my cab. The angle is a real PITA. I plan to put a Ruegg 3 point on it and hope to find a rear PTO assembly. The tractor is an absolute tank.

Yes indeed these 430s are way over built for mowing 😀 In one of my other videos it’s digging a drainpipe ditch with a middle buster meant for a compact tractor. Aside from a few stubborn roots it plowed with ease. No stress at all.

She’s a beauty for sure. It’s definitely the most expensive 430 I’ve ever seen listed, but I love it just the same. I hope it finds a good home.

The local John Deere service manager gave me the asking price. Perhaps there are geographic price differences. Gotta start somewhere, preferably not too low :)

I’m glad you finally found a buyer. I found a 430 a bit closer to me w/ a 3Pt and the 44 loader so I jumped on it!

I had no idea, some have called it the “ Holy Grail of GT/loader combinations.” Was gonna sell the loader until I realized what I had.

I know its sold, but I'm curious about the front blade. Is that blade assembly custom fabricated to work with the newer style quick hitch? I didn't know a 430 could hook up to that.

Random question what would you say is better a 332 or a 430?

The 430 is a beast. It is ideal for LARGE properties because it has a 60-inch industrial quality shaft-driven mower deck. The 332 is basically a diesel 318. I like the 332 because the engine has low end torque and will last longer than a gas engine. I didn't need my 430 for much. I just wanted it and I put a middle buster plow on it and dug drainage pipe trenches with it.
