We can't be driving Project Heidi around without working headlights and turn signals! We walk through the complete assessment and disassembly of Mercedes Benz R129 Xenon Headlights revealing friable wiring, oxidized connectors, and a few more surprises under the hood of this SL500. The recording and work it took to remove, disassemble, and assess just how bad these Xenon headlights was weeks in the making. So much so, that the video is a two part series with step by step instructions on how to restore these extremely rare and expensive headlights. Not all R129 came with the Xenon option and prices on used part auction sites and local marketplaces make it worthwhile to restore and replace worn out components in this two part video.
