As a die hard Kobe fan, I also believe in respecting the game. Obviously, MJ is GOAT. The real question is who the next greatest? Kobe or Lebron. I believe Kobe is the second greatest player of all time. That's over Lebron, Magic, Bird, Karrem, Wilt, Russell. The closest thing we have seen since the great Michael Jordan is Kobe. Everyone wanted to be like Mike, including a 19-year-old Kobe.
@TheMrKobeBryant20125 жыл бұрын

Exactly!!! It's people like you that we need in the sports world, not some ignorant idolsers who can't face the truth. Jordan is the all time legend. Even the non-basketball fans know that.
@paolo-12838 жыл бұрын
The main difference between Kobe and MJ aside the from the handsize is, MJ doesn't do all the extra flashy dribbles, he doesn't force his way into double or tripple teams that kobe does, forcing a difficult shot you know why? because MJ's court vision is better than kobe, before you could double team MJ he already knows what he's gonna do next, like spinning the opposite direction from where the double's gonna take, or fake the spin to fool the defender who is going to double him while kobe waits to be doubled first before deciding what's his next move thus forcing the difficult solution to pass or shoot.. MJ is better at playing without the ball, coming from a screen. The basic fundamentals and quick first step is the key.

After reading some of these comments, it's clear the basketball IQ's are low. Jordan was at the tail end of his prime. Kobe was just coming into his own in his second year out of High School. Seems like Kobe put on a show himself. Notice Jordan didn't guard Kobe. If he would have, he would have expended too much energy. I see no one pointed this out. I think we can all say it was an entertaining All-Star game. Jordan was the man and he passed the torch to Kobe. Kobe hasn't passed it to anyone, but when he does, it'll probably be to KD. He mentors him now. LeBron is holding it down as well right now. The media just over hypes him. But much respect to all 3 of them.

Ok i knew there is alot of MJ fans out there, me too. But there is a clip on interview with MJ and he talks about vs every players during their prime before and after him..He say he would beat every 1 include Lebo James, but he wasn't so sure about Kobe..And I hated kobe when he just came in ( he was like a copy cat ) but i went on to check out kobe plays and i have to agreed.. 1 vs 1 game play, kobe would have an edge.. It all came down to 3 pts shooting %%..If you dunks you lose out in stamina and people will reject you.. However MJ do have stuffs which kobe does't .. His ability to lead this team and play his way.. ( btw basketball is a team game , MJ alone can,t win without pippen and coach P.Jackson) And most importance MJ X- factor which alot of players lacking these days. If you are a player in the 90s you would dream of playing with MJ and his team rather than against them
@omegaprophet30197 жыл бұрын
He was being sarcastic, moron, he was shitting on Kobe for trying to steal his moves yet failing miserably. Kobe is the most overrated player in NBA history, a ball hog and nothing more. He shot a shitty percentage and just jacked up shot endlessly because he had Shaq and Gasol carrying him his entire career.
@hunter121827 жыл бұрын
Omega Prophet Yet kobe leads all 2 guards in assists on the all time list
@blackadam067 жыл бұрын
+Hunter12182 That has more to do with the # of seasons he played. NEWSFLASH: career totals regarding any facet of the game, DOES NOT REFLECT their impact on it. Because more totals can be amassed just by playing longer. Ask Karl Malone. Their career average is what tells us who consistently yielded the greater impact on the game, as far as that particular facet of the game goes. And it should serve you to know that MJ's Wizard seasons brought DOWN some of his career avg's, with assists per game being one of 'em.

+mrbam8 "I've heard a lot of NBA players even admit that Kobe is the best one on one player." That's just a dumb kobetard's way of trying to say that kobe's better than MJ on the sly, without being called out on it. Sorry, but I'm calling you out on it kid. Here's a challenge for you: name these players. Which of them have actually said this? And when did they say it? For once, I'd like for one of you millennials to actually start referencing these players specifically, rather than just making some blanket statement/claim, on what they've allegedly said. Because I've NEVER heard any NBA player say anything like this. In fact I'll go ahead and call that statement just what it is: A goddamn lie! But just for the sake of argument, why don't you go ahead and post the link to the video clip(s) of these players saying this, or better yet, cite the link to the article where they've made such comments? Go ahead kiddo...don't worry I'll wait...

Controlling the big hand and hang time is also a skill, why? ask shaq he can't shoot free throws. only kawhi leonard has the same handsize with jordan that can actually control the ball.. MJ and Kobe have the same height and almost similar body type, so what's the excuse? Look at VC also almost similar feature with jordan, he has large hands too and i think he's better than kobe, it's just that he doesn't have the jordan mindset that kobe learned.
