Great work mate. Brian wired my fte conversion Into my fzj105 , even got the cruise control working. 6 years still going strong!

I'm glad I went with a 79 series FTE into my 105, the wiring was so much easier

Scary as... Brilliant... All that wiring scares the... Out of me... Glad i have the mechanical pump and wiring (i know can't tune it as much, that's the pay off) on my conversion i would freak if something happened in the bush. You have pulled off an awesome job. Regards from South Africa.

Thanks Will! You are the best! Yesterday I drove my LC 100 for first time in 5 months. I did some rust repair and underbody coating( Finnish winter so definetely a must😂) . Also big intercooler, tuning chip, boost controller, EMUMAP map sensor emulator for NO fuel cut DIY 3" exhaust + regular maintnance. Took me hole winter.!😂 Love your videos.❤

Will, firstly well done on sticking with it! Are you planning to go into why you went for the loom splice option? Why didn't you not just swap the dash looms, fuse box, cluster etc from the half cut? Was it a later model? Get a manual HDJ loom and ECU from a wrecker? I did my FZJ myself a few years ago, and just swapped the all the looms, and thankfully started first crank. But, I did search for a wreck that so they were both early model and both were 4speed auto, so it was literally plug and play. I had to run 1 wire to deal with the IFS vs live axle ABS arrangement. I was also able to just plug my immobiliser into the FTE loom and keep all my barrels. Obviously you already had a HZJ, but in a lot of ways, the FZJ is an easier conversion IMO - I think you can even keep the gearboxes if you wanted.

Another great video. Are you running the fte on a mechanical pump? If so how did you do the conversion, and what pump did you use?

Did you consider an FT-M ?

No mention of the stand alone cheap ECU option for those that might consider the same conversion? No immobilizer, no EGR, no EDU, no nonsense. Only need a bare minimum of wires to get it running, but probably want a bit more to have a good running engine. Tune it yourself on the laptop, so no need for expensive chips or tunes done by copy paste tuners. Of course not for everyone, but a good options for many.

Wiring hurts my feelings.
