I am so excited to have reached 2000 subscribers in under 1 year. I want to give something back to the community with this contest.
Official contest rules:
1. How to enter:
To enter the contest you must:
- Comment the video with a suggested name for the channel mascott
- Subscribe to the channel
- Like the video
- Turn on notifications for the channel
2. Eligibility:
- Entries are not restricted by age, gender, race or country of origin
- Multiple entries per person are possible
3. Disqualification:
You will be disqualified of you don't comply with the KZfaq community guidelines or terms of service:

4. Start and Enddate: The contest will start on May 13, 2021 and end on May 30, 2021.
5. Winner selection: The winner will be selected by Lorenz Kuske. The selection will be based on personal preference of the suggested name for the channel mascott.
6. Odds: The odds of winning are based on the number of entries accepted.
7. Winner publication: The winner will be published before the end of the day, May 30, Central European Time. The winner will be selected and published live on KZfaq.
8. If the chosen winner does not meet all the above eligibility requirements, a new winner will be selected within 7 days.
9. Delivery: The winner will be asked to send his/her delivery address to learnabouteyes@gmail.com. Delivery will be free for the winner. However, depending on the country, customs may charge additional fees.

I'm no ophthalmology resident and I won't need the surgery set. But I do love to be creative, so I could not resist. Maybe some of you guys can use some of these words to come up with the ultimative name. In case one of the names below should win, I'll make sure Lorenz still picks one of you for the surgery set delivery. Language related: Eikona (greek name => It is often strong personalities who have this name. Energetic, charismatic, ambitious and focused => www.meaningslike.com/name-stands-for/eikona. Love your channel!! ‘Snelly’ (after the Snellen’s chart. I would like to believe it is the first thing our mascot would have seen seen as well after its birth.) ‘Dr. Orby’ or ‘Orby’ (play on the word orbit) ‘Eyenstein’ (Obviously our mascot is smart) ‘Li’ (Named in the honor of Dr. Li Wenliang, the Chinese ophthalmologist, the brave whistleblower, who was credited as the first medical professional to warn about the emergence of COVID amidst strict censorship and eventually succumbed to the same illness) ‘Amaryllis’ (Old Greek origin, means sparkling eyes) It’s way past midnight here, and am on call. Having already seen about 10 mucormycosis cases today, am too exhausted to think of more names for now. Will keep updating once my brain starts working again. 🙏

What I would love the most on your channel is videos about "evidence based ophthalmology"... We can all find the books and papers, especially when learning in a university hospital, but sometimes things don't work as they should, right? The word that comes to my mind is “VISION” call is Vision. you are helping and opening the minds and understanding of young doctors. Which is beneficial to the world not only passing on knowledge but equipping mankind with tools they need to combat problems related to sight. Congratulations and Thanks for making a difference. Thanks man...Yes I am a lucky bastard...don't know if and how I earned that yet. We'll see.... ;-) I can't really make sure that only ophthalmology residents get the price (KZfaq privacy concerns). But I hope everybody is fair enough....and besides....what's a gynecologist going to do with all those eyes ;-)
