2 Bus Tours: 1964 Crown and 2000 Thomas!

Everywhere we go, we see other Skoolies and busses, and sometimes we're lucky enough to get an impromptu tour! This time we met Jaqueline and Clint from down the road at our campground and got a full walk-through of their beautiful 1964 Crown bus. They have completed most of their build, with a few more projects to work on. We also toured Red and Frizzle's 2000 Thomas Skoolie, which has remarkably high ceilings for a school bus and is still a work in progress. The scissor jacks Red mentioned are listed below. About Us:
Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We're building a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!

We live in a lake house Near Wagoner Oklahoma, but we stay in our motor home at state parks in the area most of the time. You don't have to stay on the road all the time. Our grand kids and great grand kids love to camp with us, and we don't want to rust away in a house in our old age. I can think of at least a dozen different parks within 25 miles of us, and with the senior national park pass it only cost 9.00 dollars a day for full hookup. It's amazing how often you run into the same people year round. Happy camping folks. Just get out there and do it.

One thing I've noticed about bus builds is everyone has the same kind of things ( stove, fridge,etc .) But it all put together to reflect personal needs and taste .👍👍👍 Excellent Video .😁😁😁

Jeepers creepers, looks like y'all are peepers!!!(just kidding) That was one packed full video and it was very interesting. Three bus tours, all having their own styles that make them comfortable. Good to see Red was doing good, along with family. Man y'all ain't missing nothing living on the road, in fact it seems more like the AMERICAN WAY OF BEING FREE! Stop it you guys are having way to much fun okay go ahead you've earned it wow Lisa is so talented she should offer copies of her art work for tattoo businesses.people would buy them. What a great gift she has I bet when she adds color to the ocean side it will come alive I bet they could also start a you tube channel just painting the murals on other people's buses, what great vision well done. Lisa’s artwork with the animals and nature scenes are absolutely beautiful and so well thought out!! Lisa is so talented, I’m so jealous of her incredible drawing and painting abilities, the bus is really coming to life with her artwork and is really neat to see the changes since the last Time that you saw them. It would be awesome if it would work out to have an annual or so dc month updates on their bus as she completes the artwork! It’s just gonna be an incredible bus when she gets it done!!

I really love that all the edges on the cabinets and doors are rounded in the Crown, it 's so pretty. We bought that shower rod for our 5R cause I really don't like doors. Had to shorten it a bit but instructions were great. I grew up in a mobile home about 8x25" on NAS Key West...That crown reminds me of that mobile home. Love the colors in the Thomas. And I know just how they feel, tho we have an older 5R..not a bus, it's a wip, wires, painting, insulation all kinds of stuff going on...but that bus looks good and I know it's gonna be gorgeous when finished. And the crazy green bus? I want to do that to our Mack...haven't convinced hubby yet...it too is a wip...oh well

Do you ever sit down and say to each other, we should of done the bus life way sooner than we have, I only ask because every time I sit and watch your video's you always seem happy, you always look so well, and you seem less stressed, it just seems to me that you couldnt of picked a better life, makes me wish I had done something like that myself, so I wish you many more years of the happiness you have on your travels and the love you have for each other.. The other homes on wheels you look at look very nce but dont ever think yours is any less as good, you guys worked hard on your home and it is so nice.. Thanks Kevin! Actually we don't think the timing could have been better... earlier we still had kids at home, and then when my PTSD hit hard I wouldn't have been able to travel right away. I was just beginning to get better as we started this build, and it gave us time for my health to continue to improve. Now we just hope to break away from Mike's job and travel for real! I've been enjoying your videos for most of your build ... thank you for sharing as I've learned a lot from you all. I cringe whenever I see someone suffocating their laptop on a soft surface like that. It can cause overheating that would shut it down, if your lucky, shorten the battery life, start a fire.

You're right, it's not the best place for it, which is why it isn't like that for more than a few minutes...it's fine. Usually it's on a vented shelf. But until my tables are finished, I do what I have to do. #buslifebro
